I don’t think I can recommend this show. It’s an ok shoe at best but it has problems coming apart where the toe articulates. I would recommend something from Salomon instead.

I think you should stick with the 50. After trying both myself I don’t feel any less confident with a 50 in rough steep sections.

I tested both today and Ambush 3 is lighter, better fit and overall Tactic 3 cross/trail oriented. Tactic 4 is more trail/enduro. I liked Ambush 3 over 4. Instead of Ambush 4 I would choose Tactic 4 which is more similar and better fit for me (more rounded). I bought Tactic 4 finally. Ambush 3 was much more expensive. From all 3 Tactic was best fit and value for money. If I could spend more I would buy Ambush 3. Much lighter and little more comfortable than Taril 4.

Looking for your 1 month follow up but I see you had to return these. So Solomons vs Cloudtrax... I just bought these exact same Cloudtrax. I'd guess you don't really recommend since you had to return them. Any similar Solomon you'd recommend? I love how light these Cloudtrax are and am looking for waterproof (live on vancouver island)

I really struggle with long stems. With a long stem, your entire handlebar turns in a circle, so your shoulders move with it as you turn. Let's use a silly example: Let's say your stem is 1 meter long, and you turn left. Where does your handlebar go ? 1 Meter to your left. I bought a new bike, and nobody pcould tell me why i struggled so much with my steering. One day it just clicked. I swapped the bike for a bike with a shorter stem ... and i even chahged the stem on that bike for a shorter stem. What a difference 😮 I could've do skinnies with the long stem. With the short stem i can.

Great video mate! Unfortunately came across this a tad too late.. just turned my Nomad v5 into a mullet last night but instead of getting a shorter fork we went with a 180mm dominion for a 29er.. so far it felt good but I have not tested it on the trails yet, after viewing your vid I think its gonna be a challenge to climb uphill 😂😂😂

This is where I'm at. My Spec Chisel came with a 70mm stem, I went to 50mm as it felt too long - now more comfortable but also the bike it very edgy. Ordered a 60mm stem, we'll see!

@@NeRR2 You can always put longer stem with bigger angle and turn it backwards to lower the eff stack, in that way you bike will be smaller but your position will be lower

I am from the hilly region where I use a reverse 90 mm stem. You can go faster in hill incompare to the rider with small stem. Only downhill is poor in longer stem.

I beg to differ, Fox 36 factory and the diamond. I ended up sticking with the dvo. Way more supportive than Fox, better fork over All. And that's coming from a skeptic, I never heard about these forks I just happened to buy bike with it. So I had my doubts about it that's why I got the Fox One. But after riding the diamond it really grew on me is a better fork

I got an ethirteen one that specifically had my Pivot Switchblade cleared in the list of bikes they tested it on. No matter which spacer configuration I used it would either rub on the chainguide or the bashguard itself. As a compromize I was offered a 50% refund, and now I just run it bashguard only(simply just remove the chainguide). I've just been a bit hesitant to seek any new solutions after that ordeal. I have to say that I'm not really sure this thing will be it either. #1: Why no adjustment on the mounting holes like everybody else uses given it is not made for one specific bike? #2: It looks like you easily will get more chain rubbing noises, which is a no go for me.

Im trying to order an adjustable stem so I can dial it in for me. I have a 2001 Stump jumper FSR XC Comp, I need to know the correct diameter of the stems so I can order one knowing it will fit. What is the correct size diameter to mount the stem on the bike? Is it 28.6mm or not? Does anyone know? I can't find it in manuals or spec sheets anywhere.

Ok, so I've yet to understand why people call a waterproof shoe or even boot "warm" All I wear is waterproof shoes and boots for the most part. None of them have ever been "warm" at all. Waterproof is to keep your feet from getting WET. Insulated is to keep you WARM. Ok, now I'm hoping these are worth their big price. I just ordered a pair. I guess I'll find out or I'll take them right back lol.

My commencal meta TR 29 came with a 50mm stem. For a year I've been hearing people tell me "you NEED to try a shorter stem! It'll feel so much better!" I didn't care much to try, as I was comfortable with the factory setup. Yesterday, I found a SUPER cheap 35mm stem at a local store, so I thought I'd try it out; I could get a higher quality 35mm stem if I decide I like it. I DO NOT LIKE IT. My bike felt twitchy and the front end kept going away from me. I will be installing my 50mm stem back before my next ride.
