日本が誇る工業遺産の一つとも言えるもの、自分が挙げるとすれば真っ先に「ヤマハミュージックサイレン」と言いたいです。実はこれ、サイレンを組み合わせ、オルゴールのようにカム軸を回転させ、それに追従してサイレンの蓋を開閉させてメロディーを奏でる仕組みになっており、楽器メーカーのヤマハらしい、耳に優しい音調律が、さすがとも言えるサイレンです。

That is the best second generation that one day existed because this one on Yamaha building is the only one that can play 3 octaves and all other can play only two. That's why these one sound soo cool

当時は撮影許可が下りて撮影ができたそうですが、2019年のNHKの取材以来取材許可は前面断っているそうです。理由はトキハ曰く高所で危険、撮影器具の故障の危惧らしいですが、それならいままで禁止にしなかったのが違和感ですよね。

This is a very very old unit. It is very rare to find one like this, fortunately this one is still here. There is another one located atop of a white building that is much bigger and has 3 octaves. It still operates to this day.

Are you sure? I find that hard to believe considering the only 3 octave machine was Yamaha's 3rd Generation they made for their old HQ. Did they finally restore it and put it back into service?
