Good morning doctor I am writing to you from Italy, I am caring for an 86 year old father who had a urinary tract infection. We performed a urine culture and it was positive for Klebsiella Pneumoniae. but it is also ESBL positive (Extended Spectrum Beta Lactamase) which I understand has great resistance to all antibiotics I wouldn't know how to behave Today he started a new therapy based on Cefixoral Cephalosporin generation III/IV You must do 7 days and after 10 a new urine culture Could you give me your opinion on this? I thank you and wish you a good job.

I had E. Coli UTI for 1 year. After removal of kidney stones with non-sterile equipment, the infection changed to Klebsiella p....after 3.5 more years I began using oregano oil. The infection was undetectable for 8 months. Now it has morphed into Klebsiella o. In order to evade the oregano oil and infect me again. I will begin treatment with Chlorine dioxide and other herbals I have orepared. Since I was a kid I had the thought that at 66 years old I would die from an infection.....doctors are no help. This infection has ruined my life after 5 years. I don't know i have it until it infects my brain and basically makes me insane with anxiety. Any info would be appreciated

I thought that the bacteria resists only antibiotics. Bacteria morphed even when you were using oregano oil which is organic?! 😟 My father too contracted klebsiella p after a urology surgery. The bacteria spread in his blood too and he was given combination antibiotics. His klebsiella p is resistant to everything. Now the bacteria is still there in his urine but it’s of insignificant count. 10^3. 20 days back it was 10^5. I have been giving him cranberry juice, sesame seeds with Greek yoghurt, juniper berries and pomegranate husk tea. After 3 weeks we will be visiting the urologist again. Edit: now it’s again 10^5. But it’s resistant to 4-5 antibiotics now.

Don't know if anyone will see this or respond but I have a question regarding the pathology report from a biopsy being different than the pathology of the excised tumor. The question i have is biopsy said Er weak positive (1-10%), but the post surgical addendum says Er negative. Treatment moving forward would be different based on these results. Do they re analyze???

I sure hope the research to eradicate this nasty bug in hospitals succeeds. It's misery is profound.

My grandfather picked it up from the hospital and I got it on my finger from his medical waste that spilled out onto my hand when the trash bag ripped. It swelled into a red, super painful, pussy abscess within THREE days!

@@Littlerockjw I hope Mom's ear clears up completely. Currently I still am suffering. The bug grabbed my intercostal muscles nerves and progressed up my ribcage in a painful squeezing way making lying down difficult as ribs are in the front, side and back of our bodies. I do not have an active infection but the toxic effects of the Klebsiella were very damaging and destructive. My body in efforts to defend it'self from a bug that evades the immune system because of it's protective coating, started attacking the organ the bug was in noble efforts to fight it, I now have an autoimmune disorder, but at a low level. Hoping my immune system will figure out the bug is gone and chill out. May we all recover and an effective treatment be discovered for this superbug.

this is a very great initiative! I think if this is encouraged, pathology will come out of the shadows. few suggestions 1. the video production should be improved to be of high quality 2. the sound as well should be great 3. the questions and answers should be well rehearsed so the interviewers don't have to look on sheets, like some of the previous episodes 4. the sound effects is a great idea, it should just be made to look good 5. the scripts should be well reheased to make it even more lively and fun.
