Fly doing an NRG this year i guess

I had the 7 teams that made it through in my pick-ems. I had G2 > FLY instead of DK (I thought DK have been frauds since Moham change + it really showed in playoffs). That being said, what an accomplishment for FLY, they should be super happy to make it to Quarters! And I hate all the narrative about the draws. Suck it up, if your goal is quarter-finals, then it's going to be fairly random if you make it in. And let's not forget that G2 got humiliated by NRG last year. This bracket is near the dream draw, other than maybe WBG swapping with BLG.

FLY still lost the series, but they should be really happy with how they've competed this series and at worlds in general! Good luck to them in game 3!

I gotta point out that Bwipo did not lose game 1, fly could have just left him to die because no objectives were up and he will respawn in time. And their draft in game 1 wasn't just comfort, it made a lot of sense

I think the reasons why Kiaya dont play in major reason is Language barrier. He drop out first grade and barely can read and write Vietnamese. So it impossible for him to learn English or other languages.

MDK shouldn't be here so I'm happy with the way they performed. They did get eliminated losing to PSG and then to GAM but at least they escaped play-ins. hopefully MDK's run made the LEC format makers realize that one match can't qualify a team for worlds

I can’t believe we are in a timeline where T1 beats BLG after a shaky season and that BLG is 1-2 in Swiss Edit: I’m surprised ON was the dud of the game. I felt like Bin threw most of the fights whereas ON played pretty well especially when peeling for his carries. I feel like skarner is useless too. I hope teams stop picking it. Later into the game skarner seems very useless. T1 just completely ignored skarner during fights.

the PSG draft looked genuinely depressing. they can Vi ult the renekton in the middle of 5 people under tower and he still doesn't die. I've never seen a game lost so hard from draft

If we look DK, their biggest problem is macro decisions. Thus, why in the hail did they bench Kellin, who is considered to be a great shotcaller. Hopefully, SMK will find a new team in the off season, to reignite his spark, same as with Canyon

Def most upset at FLY here, who had a great lead with the lane swap, and just threw it. DK even give them an olive branch back into the game (as they always do, DK is awful, it's so funnny they're 2-0 as they wanna lose just as much as FNC), but FLY, who we praise for having good macro for a western team, completely fold when trying to punish DK's throw. Luckily, the other 3 1-0 games were awesome, PSG look much better, and FNC even managed to win a game during worlds! The 1-1 games look like absolute bangers, though for 2-0 this was not a great draw. Anyone who wants to see good league will be rooting for LNG to beat DK who just STILL DON'T KNOW HOW TO PLAY WITHOUT KELLIN.

I totally agree with your analysis about the desk. It's honestly been frustrating listening to many of them make completely incorrect meta reads, putting way too much stock into draft, and not having correct reads on teams. It's stuck out like a sore thumb and I really don't remember it ever being this bad. Speaking of frustrating, being a FNC fan is just awful. This team refuses to win games. Seriously, they should call up Hai to have him play and shot call for this team that is completely lost. DK continues to also look lost without Kellin, but it turns out FNC is the best matchup for that sort of play! On a brighter note, TES macro and late game looked so good, beating a T1 that look better (but still far from competing with the best teams). There are a ton of teams right now in the cluster of "good but not good enough"; ie LNG, T1, DK, and I'm really curious who will come out on top out of those.
