Cracking the lid a little, is a remedy (without having to add anything else to the rice) that I use, it just slows the cooking process down/let's steam out

Olive oil in rice? Wtf

Appreciate the comment. On the directions of some rice it will say add 1 tsp of salt and butter as an optional step. I don't really do dairy, so I just put olive oil.

I've been experimenting to see what's the difference with all these steps/tips. Rinse, no rinse, salt, no salt, etc.

@@devinm.5535the reason of it over boiling is because of the salt and the reason I say wtf your doing with olive oil in it is the fact of that oil and water don’t mix it will never emulsify, just get yourself a rice cooker brother!

@@devinm.5535 make sure you always wash/rinse it 3-4 times until the water runs kind of clear because the last thing a brother wants is stodgy rice! Brother even the Chinese can’t cook rice as good as a rice cooker that’s why they invented it lol I have some great rice cooker recipes that’s I’ve mastered over the last couple years which I wouldn’t mind sharing with you if you’re struggling to come up with rice cooker meals, just let me know brother and I’ll share my email address with you and then we can cook up a master meal together! Stay blessed brother 👌
