I owned selected ambient works vol2 in the 90s, and I have memories bonded to most of the songs. ButI never heard this song until a few days ago.. this was never on the album I owned. I am slightly saddened because this song would’ve been a favourite, and I would love to have grown up hearing this on the album

i been listening to night lovell for quite a while, there be something i be listening to is sone here and there when time get tough. he really did a amazing job producing his own music and lyrics at such a young age, there are some interviews talking about his journey making music talking about how much impact you can have on society js of music. ngl this guy really did change my prospective on life on a everyday basis bro.

The melancholic intro and outro create a fluid loop to the album, the intermission of Only in the Night leading into track #4 is a perfect combination, followed by You Don't Know Me - which keep the familiar vibe of the oriental melody heard throughout track #2 and #4. The final song, I'm Gone, fades in with a bittersweet guitar as the EP comes to a close, and the low-quality, almost tape-like sample washes the listener with nostalgia for the end of a Summer gone by. The EP's cover art, a sunset silhouette of a young Lovell at the back door as daylight fades, compliments the depressive and melancholic undertone of the album, but is contrasted by the foliage and glaring sun seen through the window - indicating a sense of hope - that summer will come again, and thus, "I'll Be Back."

yes i know.. my final cut had activated a "surround" parameter by default so when exporting, sound was weirdly only on the left. I only realized once the video was uploaded as i didn't check them upfront. And then i just didn't bother replacing. If you really like the track, you can buy it or stream on other platforms and you'll have the "full remix" on top of supporting the artist a little more (youtube only gives a fraction back to artists, even less than Spotify if ever that's possible)
