I don’t remember what his name is, but one of those guys is just a negative overcritical prick concerning his voice. He had one of the best male singing voices of all time that guy is a jerk. I stopped watching it. He’s such a fucking jerk.

I thought about writing a comment about Rush but it's already been said. YYZ is the grandfather of Dream Theater's Ytse Jam. There...I came up with something new.

Ritchie was (and IS) one of the greatest guitar players that have ever lived. It's difficult for the younger generations to understand that back then this music (and way of playing) was literally brand new. It had never been done before. Ritchie took the rock guitar to levels that have never been equalled. He doesn't just mindlessly go up and down scales really fast but he adds melodies and pieces of various other styles in his solo's so that his solo's aren't boring.

They in no way, no shape,no form devoured Zep. Zep was the superior band. Period. At every instrument. Post 72 Paul was close to Robert. Pre 72? No one compared to Robert. They were on zep's label.

I love hearing people share their love of the band we all love, but I seriously hate this form of criticism. Of course not all art is for all humans, but when an artist is obviously reaching millions of fans through record sales and concert tickets, what value does a stranger's criticism hold? The real, harsh criticism of their music, was voiced among the artists themselves, as they created it, and probably also retrospectively. These guys were/are all musical geniuses, but also very hard-working, calculating craftsmen. Their own inner criticism already drove them to this level of genius. The outside criticism..... just why even bother?

My favorite band has always been Zeppelin, BUT Ritchie has ALWAYS been my favorite guitarist. His technique, feel, speed, bends, were just the best ever. He was angry, eccentric, brilliant, enigmatic, unconventional..... all requirements of a genius genre king.
