Born in the U.S.A being recorded in one take is more of an urban legend. The final released version is Take 9 and there were several different arrangemental attempts before that recorded over a few days.

Here's another one I think someone referenced already.. In the "Phil Spector" version of "The Long and Winding Road" from the "Let it Be Album, Paul vocalizes "Don't keep me waiting", but it's almost drowned out by Spector's lush arrangement. You can hear it, but just barely. It's more audible on other versions. And Paul clearly says the line in concert on the "Wings Over America" album...

Elvis' That's Alright was recorded in two takes complete takes. The first had two false starts, there was more lead guitar in the background, and Elvis' vocals were less polished. kzbin.info/www/bejne/pF6lZZSkmNVroMU

I had a list of music videos not far from here which I called One Take Music Videos. It was pointed out to me that there may have been many "takes" to achieve a good continuous shot, and I subsequently renamed the list One Shot Music Videos. There doesn't seem to be quite the same distinction in the Audio world as that between "shot" and "take".

I believe it was two takes, but Claire Torrey's vocal on Great Gig in the Sky (Pink Floyd) is one impressive example of unrehearsed improvisation.

If only the singer is the one doing it in onte take the song is not a one take. It took months to record Billy Jean

"Yesterday" is the most covered song ever. The actual count varies by source, but estimates range between 2,000 - 3,000 recordings.

'Revolution No. 9' is a skip. Period. I don't know if the others on this list deserve "hate"... or if George Martin used that word in each case, but they're not the best songs.

You’ll need to research this, but I think David Bowie’s lead vocal on Heroes was also a one-taker, and that he hadn’t completely finalized at least some of the lyrics yet.

Mike has a thing with combustion, how did his car catch fire.... and a Vocal track is not the same as a whole song. It does not really fit in the 7 Famous Songs That Were Recorded In One Take. Whitney Houston on I Will Always Love You is apparently one take.

I believe (I may be wrong) that Andy Timmons guitar parts on the album Andy Timmons Band - Resolution, were all done in one take. It may not have been the first take, and yes, a few tracks have a 2nd guitar part dubbed in in a few spots, but the main, driving guitar parts were all done in one take.

Paul wasn't necessarily cold, but he did bury his feelings deep. I feel like I will never get to the real Paul. Even when George passed Paul said in an interview that it was a "bummer"...but Paul actually was crushed. He just never showed his feelings to us, he just used his fan good guy Paul. And that's OK too

Uh... there's a world of difference between "Twist and shout" (for instance), a genuine one-take, live-in-the-studio recording and, say"Billie Jean" or "Bette Davis eyes"which have numerous overdubs.

On the single version of revolution, in the middle of the solo part you can hear the german word "nochmal" (engl. repeat or one more time) and on the song yellow submarin you can hear the german word "Abdeckung" (which teanslates to something like cover).

They were all very bad as solo artists. It’s actually amazing how big of quality drop off there is. You go from records that are excellent front to back to total crap surrounding a couple decent songs. Also their sonic pallet became boring and unoriginal. Once they made songs sounding like nothing anyone had ever heard, by the 80’s they sound like every forgettable act of the era most of the time. Between the three of them I think they amassed 4 albums worth listening to as solo artists. Pitiful. It’s a story of egocentricity destroying the greatest band of all time so they can selfishly pursue mediocrity independently.

2:36 to 2:41: "... a sound of 15 kHz, inaudible to the human ear"?? Very probably, I would indeed not be able to hear the tone at my age of 70 years. But by any means, this frequency IS audible by young and even middle-aged persons! And it could be reproduced even by a good hi-fi equipment of the vinyl era...

Well, "Only the northern song", "Within you without you" and "One after 909" are all, imo, not too bad even though below average by the Beatles standards. "Revolution #9 is yes, a horrible abomination that should have been included in a Beatles album. I'd like to add here "Love you to" from the "Revolver", imo, very annoying and not good at all song.
