I don't think what's going on with Caitlin Clark is as simple as "racism" because she's white. I'd say the hating is a mix of the following (in no particular order): 1. She's a random white girl from Iowa 2. She's a young girl coming into the league pulling numbers that no one else can match 3. She's got that dog in her and takes the game a lot more seriously than even some professionals (this explains some of the hate on her own team) 4. She's already better than most of the league 5. She's proving all the critics of the WNBA right (this is the biggest one) 6. She's eclipsing talent that's beat her in college 7. She's not a kiss ass 8. Peer pressure - no one wants to be the one to support her, if it means losing the respect of the culture 9. She's getting paid 10. Getting lost in woke culture - people that are using anything to do with race on her are just racists, and it's sad, b/c they're like all the black players, which makes the league look bad #5 is the real real here... let's keep it a stack. People have been roasting the WNBA forever now for not having fans, not being entertaining, not having superstars in the public eye, not being profitable. Now this random girl shows up and is essentially proving everyone right. She's pulling fans, she's pulling money, she's an elite talent, she's white, and worse she knows she's good and they hate her for it. The WNBA is funded by the NBA's profits and is essentially a charity league, not a business. It's so insane, b/c the WNBA seems to prefer to fail than to win if it means that they can take what they perceive to be the high ground. They're so caught up in wanting to say "told you so" and win their way that they rather die on that hill. Look on the flip side at how NBA players have embraced and praised Wembanyama. Look at the grace the media has given Scoot... it's insane man. It's even worse, b/c her teammates don't even seem to respect her, which is toxic. If I was the GM, I'd yeet all of the haters out of there and get her some teammates that will support her--not for some moral bs point, but b/c she has the potential to change the league for the better long term.

Black dude here. Okay, fellow black people, we gotta stop saying "black people cannot be racist by definition", b/c that shit is probably making a lot of asian people real mad. I get it, the struggle that black people faced in the USA is unmatched by other immigrant populations in the USA by duration of time and by degree of severity. However, we got to stop this bullshit. Saying black people can't be racist is insanely ignorant and uninformed--come to California and you'll see that this is NOT true. There's a long history here for racism and tension between the black and asian community. It's a stain on our history--we got to own that. It doesn't diminish what our people have been through here, but let's use our common sense here... I personally know a lot of black people that have said really racist and insensitive shit to people knowing that they won't get checked for it, b/c we're kind of leaning on the suffering of the past. However, we got to stop that, b/c a lot of us haven't lived that experience, but have benefited from the sacrifices of the people that have come before us. We need to know how to move forward from our history and respect it. Going around throwing it out there all cavalier is disrespect to the people that came before us that went through some real crazy shit. Like, what does black history month have to do with modern basketball? Why are we even talking about a pro-black agenda over a pro-women agenda in a league of women where that's the actual focal point here. The WNBA has received so much disrespect over the years and nearly none of it has had to do with race, so why would she have even went there... it's deflecting, b/c she's trying to be a low key hater.

17:36 last girl was Jamell Hill, former ESPN commentator/talking head. The irony that she'd say the thing about projecting while soing just that without any self awareness is peak comedy. People don't give a damn that Clark is white - they like her because she's basically a female Steph Curry right down to the mannerisms and on-court celebrations after making big shots.

Thank you. Keep race out of it😂

Imagine hating on a player that will help to exponentially grow your league to new heights and raise the wages of everyone moving forward... And then to complain (justifiably) that wages are too low is some serious cognitive dissonance. The egos on these women are wild.

It's important to acknowledge that power dynamics exist within all groups, including women. Sometimes, those in positions of power may not always use their influence to benefit others, leading to feelings of resentment or jealousy. As women we need to do better!

We should be proud of this girl.Because this game has brought a phenomenal athlete to the game and I believe regardless of skin colour indoor US basketball is the winner.. That is how we should view sports rather than looking at her introduction to the game through the lens of prejudices...sports is not politics...sports brings joy, peace, togetherness, humility and humanity..

70% of the population is white so of course a high profile white player is going to get way more famous in the U.S. But this will have the Tiger Woods effect. More people watching, revenue goes up, players get more exposure and money.

Bunch of angry women that someone has actually drawn eyes to their game for once, I know, awful Now they wanna act tough and apparently don't like money, long as she just keeps playing and keeps her head down it will eventually blow over and she will be fine. An entire league of estrogen filled, bitter ass women. If you ever had a cute new girl show up at your job, school, wherever, you've seen it. They act like it stops once they get to a certain age, it doesnt 😂

This is why the WNBA Players Hate on Her. Not Only Does She Have the Baller Skills, She Is A Marketing Genius Who Truly Respects Her Fans! She has come to Learn How to Up her Game Respectfully From WNBA Players Who Have Been Playing and All She Gets Is Disrespect. I am not going to be watching the WNBA and supporting because of their disrespect and the use of officials to keep her out of games and this is just a first year player. So To the WNBA Grow Up or Lose your Crowds!

The thing about Caitlin is that she just keeps her head down and doesn't get involved. She focuses on her game and what she can control, and by doing so, she builds even more buy-in to herself, she's a winner.

I last watched women's basketball back in high school when CP3 was dunking in the NCAAW tourney, and then smoking the WNBA as a rookie and winning MVP, then I lost interest. I honestly think Candace shitting on the league was bad for the image, it seemed like it wasn't a good product. Rookies shouldn't do that. Clark doing...okay... but not good, is honestly good for the league lol. Rookies shitting on everyone makes me think the league isn't up to par.

It is crazy and so catty that these jealous women are so dumb that they don’t realize that Caitlin Clark will make them all more money !! Just like Tiger Woods for the PGA players except they embraced him. And NBA stars always give positive hype for the younger talent coming into the league. Also, all the wnba teams double Caitlin Clark so if she isn’t so great than why the double teams ? And you are correct, we all knew there would be an adjustment to the WNBA but it was her tone when she said it. Also Taurasi said she would take Paige over her real catty too…Caitlin Clark is the only reason I watch the WNBA and her team had the #1 pick for a reason as they are young, undersized and lack depth. They are on their way to having the first pick again….Paige and Caitlin Clark on the same team?? Btw…Caitlin Clark thoroughly outplayed Lexi Brown in the 2 games they played against each other….go Caitlin Clark and keep being you AB !! A real bball fan with a great attitude ! Swoopes and Gilbert embarrassed themselves. Period.

If it wasn't for CC, I would never have known about Brink, Buckers, Martin, Taurasi, Marshall, Reese, etc. (I deliberately mixed schoolchildren with professionals) And the player, or former player, who denies this, is either jealous or resentful, or ignorant. Yes, Caitlin Clark is the key

I completely agree with you. The NBA used to be more physical and I am not taking anything away from the older players but today’s NBA the players are way more athletic and skilled. You have centers and power forwards you have to guard at the 3 pt line and this spreads the floor and makes it so much harder to defend. Isaiah Thomas was a fantastic ball handler but Kyrie is in a league by himself in ball handling.

Good content but I can tell you don't watch the SPURS games. We love Keldon as a person but he is a liability. If there is any likelihood that a player from our current core will be dealt, it would be Keldon. Sochan is a SPURS system guy because he is defensive minded which has won him a spot on the roster as long as he continues to hustle on the defensive side of the ball.
