Hi. Is there an opportunity to make chains of patterns in sample 2? Not 1-16, but for example 1-2, 1-4, 1-2, 1-6...
@ryanwaingo25 күн бұрын
In addition to chaining in consecutive order, I think you can only chain like: 1-4-5-7… etc.
@britzman990528 күн бұрын
That was a really sick beat! It's hard to make a long set on a single volca sample though and make it sound interesting, sadly.

bro, great information! I dig arpeggiators! I bought a volca keys 10 years ago or whenever they came out,and I got bored with it, so I midi'ed it to my microkorg and just used it as a sound module. I first found out about arpeggiators when I heard hungry like the wolf in 1980 on mtv. And then I bought a Jupiter 8 in 1985. Big deal, everyone wanted one cuz journey used it on their first album. yeah I still have it, but those synths are as big as a frikin' surfboard and they're heavier than crap. So I bought a behringer deepmind 12 and it gave all the Jupiter sounds and more and it even had a better arpeggiator, and its a lot easier to carry. Arpeggiators are not sequencers. Sequencer is more like what you'd here on teenage wasteland or pink Floyd's on the run. Also is it possible to arpeggiate on the volca bass module? Thank You For Showing 👍💚
@ryanwaingoАй бұрын
My friend, I’m very sorry but I was mistaken to use the term ‘arpeggio’ here as it actually is just a sequence. I had made this video back when I first got the Volca Keys and knew nothing about synths and that some of them actually have arpeggiators built into them. My apologies for having misled you, but it’s been great reading about your synth journey and I hope you keep it up!
@markvigil8667Ай бұрын
@@ryanwaingo You didn't mislead me at all! I've been using all this analog equipment since the 80s, as am in my 50s now, I was able to buy it in the era that it was introduced. I still have my tascam 688 cassette midistudio, great analog recorder. You Are Awesome!👍🌟💚

Gosh that vocal being out of time is frustrating!! 😣😣 I feel like "nothing" should be on the 1...meaning the sample should start on 15🤔? Otherwise pretty solid. Big it up!

oh my gosh. thank you so much for your work. I am 100% new to making music, and find it easy to feel like I should give up when watching/following tutorial videos for my volca sample, I get very confused; but not with your videos. they are so clear, perfectly paced, and digestible! I try to practice for 15-20 minute sessions when I feel drawn to, and I continue to practice with your videos almost every time. you are so very helpful and rare. thanks Ryan :)
