Mike's a legend. I'm from Conshy so I always found it epic he was from my town. Followed West for that run and was mind blown when I found out they lost states in 2000. My dad's cousins played for Mike as well. The Wards. Dennis and Kevin. Not sure if Bobby did or not. But my grandfather use to tell the best stories about Kevin's playing days. He even had a scrap book from when he played at West. Just came across some of his games from 77 and 78. Pretty sure my pop-pop told me Dennis was part of the first West team. Unsure of that year when they split though if anyone can help. In regards to these teams #20 was clutch. Played football for 10 years and have been a fan of watching since I was a little boy and I've yet to see a more epic play then the one Elsing made in 99 to to win states. It's a Hollywood type ending. I also get a kick out of people talking about #34 and #33 not doing anything in College like playing college ball is up for grabs and anyone can make an impact right away. Things happen but the main fact is i'm sure both walked away with degrees which says more then prob. most who talk in comment sections on the youtube videos for The Last Game. Lastly, Go PW! lol

I was at this game! Jaun Gaddy was an awesome high school running back!

The pick 6 before half completely changed this game. AH had the line play to compete with CB West yet the Comets still had to play a near perfect 48 minutes. This is the best team AH ever had. They were still good in 1999 but lacked the horses in the trenches. Hewlett ended up getting lost in the shuffle at Lehigh.

This '98 team was phenomenal. The O-line was a five headed monster that steamrolled people. They would have beaten some PSAC schools.

I attended this game! CB West beat my high school, Abington Heights the week prior (second straight year) and my father being a Lehigh grad wanted to go to Goodman Stadium for the game. I really thought BECA was going to win but they simply ran out of gas. This is when Lehigh was getting a lot of good players from BECA. BECA WR John Dieser was a childhood friend of mine and had an excellent career at Villanova. Not to mention a good game against Lehigh at Goodman in 2004. CB West was so physically tough and executed with precision on offense., not flashy at all. AH had them on the ropes in 1998 at Council Rock before a 100 yard pick 6 prior to half completely changed the game. We had the OL to compete that year. In 1999 we were simply too small up front....

I played for CB Weat back in 93,94 and I love my Bucks and the winning records and all but the offense is absolutely boring. Yes all we do is run 90% of the time since the first ever game. But come on we need to add more to this damn playbook. If you get the right run stuffers and right linebackers this offense would be completely stunned

I was a senior at Souderton this season. We got crushed by West at our first preseason scrimmage. They were always bruisers. We played at Hatboro about the 4th game of the season. Nobody gave us a chance. Of course we had already managed to beat ourselves in overtime the first regular season game vs. Methacton. It was pretty satisfying to go down to their place and beat them 27-8. Had we beaten Methacton or Plymouth-Whitemarsh, we would’ve been playing CB West in this game since Hatboro had beaten P-W early that season. I doubt the result would’ve been much different from the scrimmage though. There wasn’t much slowing down these Bucks.

I am a Coatesville grad '97. I was a freshman. I was there. Such heartbreak.

This is a great game I remember being a young coach at CB East.

My son in law is related to the Pettines, carries their last name was a standout player at Bloomsburg.
