The Dirt was a great place to see bands. So were a few other clubs in NJ. I'm from Bloomfield NJ originally. Lived in northern NJ until I was 37. Small clubs were where we saw Joan Jett and the Eurythmics, The Psycedelic Furs, Stray Cats and many other bands. Glorious days of Rock, Punk, and music in general. I am 62 years old and keep my views on the tablet and make sure my 20 something year old kids don't watch me! 😂 be well and remember how great it was!

Fucking LOVED the Mad Daddys! They were like real deal rock deities to us Okies coming to the big city to say we'd played there. Our Front Man John Manson wrote a song about it and the Mad Daddys, called "One Way Ticket to Palookaville" and you're invited to listen to it if you like, right here. kzbin.info/www/bejne/ppizo2aPZbZ6rrs RIP Stinky Sunoboni. RIP John Manson. Long live Rock and Roll!
