This was a really great demonstration / review video . These are wonderful when used as a drawing guide , i have three of them. They save a lot of time and are perfect for comic book art , especially when you need to create action scenes .

You can try use hot water to soften the part before you remove and place parts. The water softens the plastic and it won't break easily. You also want to try 20mm macro lense, so it will match with the scale and make it look more natural and lifesize. I wouldn't trace either. As a guideline is best.

Nice video. I've been study his art so I could get better at Art. The type of shading he was doing with the crosshatching rapping around the form was called "Countour hatching" I think. Nice video! I like how you pointed out the details in his artwork, some I didn't even notice. So this video helped me.

You pointed out that Araki could be using inks, instead of watercolors, which I also believe as well. But does it make sense as an illustrator to work with colored inks, in terms of Lightfastness? This question might sound weird, but at this point in life, here in Brazil, there are no Lightfast inks on available, except one, only one, brand of acrylic inks. I'm really obsessed with his art style and his process of making art. I've been doing studies with ink and watercolors, to absorb as much of his vibes as possible in my own pieces.

They do eventually losen over time but not like a worn down way, more of a no longer stiff and stuck in a box way. I’ve had mine for awhile and they definitely get easier to mess around with the more you pose them! You could also place them in a bowl of warm water/wrap them in a warm towel to help the plastic relax or even just hold them in your hands to heat them up 👍

Having something like this is far superior than 3D software as it’s much quicker in every aspect. It’s used as a quick base for reference.
