I love Mega Man so much and grew up playing Mega Man 8 on PS1!! Great video! Just wanted to note one thing I didn't see mentioned in the video! Rock is unaware of the fact Proto Man is his older brother. I understand that in the English translation for Mega Man 7 they added in "Let's see which of us Father made stronger!" which is incorrect. In the Japanese version there is no mention of Proto Man referring to Doctor Light in the speech before he fights Mega Man in Shade Man's stage. He is a loner and a drifter, but tends to support his little brother without revealing his true identity to him for fear of revealing himself to Doctor Light again. (But I do realise in Mega Man and Bass he is taken to Doctor Light's lab for repairs and we can only imagine what happened there)… However, writing this, I have not yet read the comics and do not know if in the comics they have revealed to Mega Man Proto Man's existence as his older brother.

Thank you for the lore videos on Megaman Zero and ZX. I had fun playing these games as a kid, despite how much I sucked at them or how little I understood the story because I just loved the art style.

it is because of the whole fucking "we need to make games for our target audience, (who is increasingly way older than we think it is), and then produce shit catered to a way too young of a target audience", and then being advertised as not being like that , and then launched. then they are surprised that their new games are being repeatedly rejected, or at least heavily criticized, by the audience they should have been targeting. then it's just rinse and repeat. franchise after franchise.
