I play zombie games when I was young the first zombie game I played was contract killer zombie 1 & 2 and the 2nd one had a few helicopter crash sites and over run hospitals. Helicopter crash sites is one idea I can give with the hospital idea too. I hope these two ideas help.

story: There was once a group of gangsters in the city but when the infection hit like the graffiti artists and other people they stayed and created a group of survivors around the highway taking in all criminals making their own society. They took in other non criminals and grew being functional and peaceful safe from the infection by fairly splitting work and building a walled and protected community. Eventually the community was at risk because of the flooding zombies etc. they decided to go underground but never being saw again most likely either dying or living in secrecy. All remains or evidence of their community overground was wiped away by the flood and zombies etc. The leader was nicknamed Tommy mcshoot for his name being Tommy and fittingly having a Tommy gun.

Another story of military intervention found by a diary of an army soilder : headquarters did not tell us what we were messing with they only told us that we had to navigate people to the nearest evacuation zone.Earlier a private jet carrying a few researchers and a russian guy took off from an air force base wherever the heck it is.dont know what happened with the jet.Anyways Few of us were assigned to help with the evacuation of the nuclear power plant due to a meltdown out of town limits while we were assigned to help with the highway and try to settle down the crowed aggressively assaulted authorities tp try and get out of town.our team were armed heavily and amidst the evac process screams and gunfire was heard on the other side. Our Sergeant told some of us to go and check what the hell is happening on the other side. Later, worried voices echoed in our radios that were time when everything settled down in our side. Units were yelling about how people started to attack and even we could hear the gunshots echoing through the cloudy rainy afternoon due to the sudden burts of gun blasting out of nowhere people started to fall back and into their car for a weird momment. No one decided to investigate because of the amount of panic we were receiving.A few hours later an explosion happend in the nearby over pass then more gunfire.the government told our superiors that the infected were the cause of these incidents.As soon as i thought of that people started running through us and into the highway to the exits of the city we tried to stop them but they were too powerfull while they were also unfortunately mixed with said infected every soldier fired for themselves so as panic ensued.I did not want to end up like some of us so i also ran though i am a soilder i am also a man that wants to live.some of the power went out and chaos is still happening. The cdc really fricked up with their planing on how to lockdown the city and quarantine every zone malls,train stations,even the airport was used for this! So what did we kept on doing running until we cant no more most of us were separated as we watched the burning city start to crumble. Only me and one of us his name was overel had enough amo and supplies to lasts for a few weeks. A day later while exploring the empty somewhat small neighborhood in one of the rural parts of the city we were lucky as this abandoned neighborhood had a bit of power to get some water from the tap but we decided not to drink it.but then when we saw a Silhouette of a plane diving into the ground with fire inside and then burst into flames later on the small neighborhood barley have power as a electricity pole was hit and severely damaged causing all electricity to be gone.we lost hope again but later on we would find something that would give us some. We heard that police and the cdc are holding a refugee site in the outskirts of the city. We were motivated to get there but we lost it again when it was damn empty.Maybe i should focus on finding valuable stuff and finding a shelter more than writing on this book. You know what maybe i should end it here. Frankly that was all that was on the book not that much aint it.

the red water seems a bit over the top to me, I think a murky dark colour would suit more, as though its collecting loose dirt and trash

I think you are making great content but one suggestion: add less emergency service vehicles, modtly beacouse in such small toen far away from other cities, i dont think their stations can hold much emergency service vehicles. (Just a suggestion)

I think zombie/virus pandemic makes more sense. If there was a nuclear power plant failure I highly doubt people would abandon their cars on the highway for it
