I wish people working at these events wouldn't block Femke Bol. Look how they block her from entering then make it look like she made the wrong entrance.

Watching this interview again, I remembered that in the very next semifinal, Lavia Nielson from GBR also had an issue at the start, and she was also given a yellow card. The starter was definitely holding them in the set position for way too long. And the set position can be very hard to maintain and hold for long, especially if your weight is forward. So I don;t blame Lieke for sitting back in her blocks.

Did u noticed that for international events (European & World Championship) Bol always cried during national anthem when she wins gold for individual events..but always joyful when it comes to relay gold medals..

Nice that Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone came out to race with the gang (starting at 50 seconds in video).

It's great how the Dutch runners are so happy even though they took silver instead of gold, the gold going to the U.S.A. team. But then Femke Bol did take them from fourth to second!

Isn't Femke Bol too young to get married (see ring on finger)? What's the rush? She's only 24 years old. She didn't get permission from her male fans. My Pennsylvania Dutch mother was age 27 when she got married back in 1954.

I only clicked on the vid to see Femke picked up by the elephant mascot. And it wasn’t in the vid. So I guess this is called thumbnail fraud. 🤣
She has such a sweetheart vibe to her. I love watching her engage in her friendly way with her competitors post-race, whatever she's won or not won.
