Hi Scott. From the advice that you gave me, I ended up buying a Redline ute. Same colour and manual as this ute but clearly not as much power but nevertheless still an awesome vehicle to drive. Thanks for the advice and good to see that you are still in the industry after the demise of Motor magazine.

Please get a ghost fitted as these vehicles are being heavily targeted ,they slice open the fabric guardliner in behind drivers front wheel cut the horn enter the vehicle ,place a scan tool into OBD port and 4 minutes they are away ,only two days ago Melbourne i stopped a work mates redline sedan VF in red being taken 11am from Mt Waverley ,video on stolen cars melbourne ,just by accident i walked out of work on footpath to see a masked fella in my mates car ,he looked at me and jumped out and produced a knife and charged at me ,these gangs dont play ,i ran back in to get help and two other stolen cars blocked the gates and slowly almost casually drove off ,luckily the Redline sedan stayed

Love it, I have an '84, the first one called a grand wagoneer. I improved it a bit with features from the later years: rear sway bar, track bars to keep the axle in place, specially on the highway and when towing. also upgraded all the electric features with relays so the windows and locks actually work, remote door locks, stuff like that. always a classy ride.
