Three thing I can't do well for fishing. 1 Fly fishing I cannot keep my wrist straight from all the bass finesse twitching I've done, lol 2 center pin reel casting, I'm too impatient for it, & still l haven't gotten over a baitcaster type use. lol 3 baitcaster reel. I'm trying I even have reel with a centrifugal brake, but to no luck.

Great job!!! Question: where did you find the water gallons? Tranks!
@bassamawad3 ай бұрын
The one you see was from Amazon. But I ended up purchasing another water tank from Yakima.
@ChrisGahn5 ай бұрын
Awesome job! What hardware did you use to mount into the T-tracks of the topper? I've been having a hell of a time figuring out what bolts I can get to slide in there and use to do pretty much what you did.

very nice! this is same basic design that i am about to start making... how strong is the aluminum extrusion ? can you stand on and climb around on top of the rack with out damage ?
@bassamawad6 ай бұрын
Glad you liked it. I usually have an 8 gallons water tank and a tandem kayak mounted on the rack, driving at 70 mph. I have not seen any damage or bowing. My confidence in the kayak grows with every trip.

I've been on about all parts of the PM, but can't figure out what section that is? Looked like you had a good day and some really clear water. It's usually a little more stained up when we get up in late Sept.
@bassamawad7 ай бұрын
This is to the east of S. Branch Rd. It’s a private property belonging to a rental cabins. This was my first time having access to that section of the river.

Wicked spider. More reasons the wife won’t backpack with me & our 10 yo boy 😂. Was the water taxi worth it? Did you leave a POV at the marina & still require a GSMNP parking pass by chance?
@bassamawad8 ай бұрын
The water taxi is definitely worth it. We didn’t pay any fees at the marina as long as we stayed above a certain point. Thank you for the comment.

Hey Bassam, salam bro. I’m thinking of going to the vermillion next weekend for the first time. Any tips you can give on best place to go etc? Don’t want you to spill the beans on secret spots but anything will help

Hi @GRIMDoZeR, I think the steelhead run is done; I would try Baconwoods, you’ll have a mix of fast water and some deep channels. Good Luck, we’re all counting on you.

Very well made, I like it! Did you install the canopy base tracks, or did they come on the canopy?
@bassamawad11 ай бұрын
I had a Yakima roof rack installed, then I sold the towers and cross-bars, kept the tracks and repurposed for my roof-rack. Thank you for the kind words.

@@bassamawadThanks, I'm looking at installing base sliders first, then building it up from there. I have the same idea as you on building my own version of the Prinsu rack. Cheers 🍻

I have a detailed list in the description; The rails were from eBay, the mounting brackets (towers) were from sherpaec.com/, and the aluminum extrusion bars were from www.tnutz.com/.
@jessemurillo6895 Жыл бұрын
Question, did the extrusion already came with treads or you had to do it yourself?

I ordered the six 2x1 extension cross bars tapped and threaded. I had to tap the seventh one at the front of the rack (angled).

Great-looking build. Any noise/whistling coming from the rack at highway speeds?
@bassamawad Жыл бұрын
When I took it on city roads, I didn’t notice any wind noise. I attribute that to the rack being low profile and mounted farther back on the camper shell. I wish I tested it before I installed the accessories (awning, shower curtain, recovery tracks and shower tank).
@bassamawad Жыл бұрын
Now that I’ve had all my accessories mounted and got the truck on the road, it’s not bad at all. Having the rack on the camper makes a huge difference in wind noise.
