The large "catcher" on the motor side is supposed to be angled up...of course. HOWEVER...the small one on the operator side is supposed to be angled DOWN...the manual even shows a diagram that points out correct and incorrect assembly! See page 19 here: www.championpowerequipment.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/08/100424-om-english.pdf

Looked for your tooth setter video. Guess you haven't made it yet. My tooth setter came without the stand even though there was no mention of it not coming with one. Pretty disappointed in that.

I’ve been using one for a couple years on my John Deere 5065e. I use to pull vines growing on my barn and trees away from fence lines. I also use it for grade work to remove rocks and level ground. It’s great for creating a seed bed. I only purchased the essentials when I bought my tractor (loader and bushhog) due to budget. But I now consider this an essential.

Cool stuff. Just picked up my BMS250 from Olivehurst at a Wood Mizer distributor. Best part was at Dukes restaurant. Wow, breakfast 11 to 13 bucks. I had chicken fried steak, came with hashbrowns, bacon, and huge Bisquit's and gravy, 13 bucks. Unlike that sharpener. I could have bought like a 1000 breakfasts, give or take. So, they use Master Fluid Trim cutting fluid that is water based. I ordered that from online. Say's no more oil vapor to deal with, and I guess it works. We're attempting to rebuild after the Caldor fire. uhggg getting old, but may have a house or two left in me. Nice excavator. I have a Case CX37C. I could use a big one, but this one tosses big logs around I need, most people are surprised at what it will do. Cool channel I'll follow you.

Just bought one to put on my Kubota. I can confirm that it makes VERY short work of the invasive Himalayan blackberry that we have here in the PNW. I'm sure impressed with how well this tool works. If you're on the fence about getting one, just do it. You won't be disappointed and it is heavy duty- not cheaply made and going to fall apart after a few uses. For me it was money well spent and highly recommend! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Always leave the long piece on the deck and cut / split the short piece first. Most processors have measurements or you can make marks yourself on the infeed conveyor area if it doesn’t have measurements. Good working machine.

When back dragging were you keeping downward pressure on the bucket or letting it float?
@rogerknight22676 ай бұрын
I bought mine still in the crate unassembled. I used part of the crate to build a nice workbench that sits right over the top of the motor. Makes for a nice place to set a round or two. Also easily deflects stray splits. Enjoyed your video!!

I made mine a little bigger out of a piece of plywood and a leg of 2x4. It just slips into place and locks when needed. The idea of a permanent one is interesting now that i have a welder.

no water added. I'll just let the ground water do its thing. I built an entire commercial archery range this way with treated 4x4's and when I sold the business I pulled them all out. They were hard as a rock! If it quits snowing I'll finish it all up so stay tuned! Thanks!

Almost need an 8 way wedge. That's rough getting them back in for resplitting. Depending on cost of renting machine... operating hours might have been better spent just doing a fast and dirty cut/split and then finessing with your little splitter at a cheaper hourly rate. Decisions decisions
