I’m from Iberia Parish, small town, Loreauville, which has Lake Dauterive that leads into Lake Fausse Pt State Park. I grew up going swim at the “sandbars” which was the entrance to where they built this state park after my childhood. Great video. There is so much more to see in the area to add to your great video. Come back and visit the historic church, St Martin detours, in nearby St Martinville, the small town of Loreauville, where the first Acadians from Nova Scotia are believed to have started their lives in this area. Great Cajun restaurants with dancehalls, airboat swamp tours and small cozy local bars with live bands, fresh seafood to purchase in area, all this along the levee ride 20 miles along the Atachafalya Basin leading up to the park from I-10. Lots of history in the area to learn about how the Acadians, Native Americans lived and thrived in this area. Thanks again for your video.
