I've heard that as well. I have used acrylic yarn for hot pads without any issues, though. So, it's up to the user to decide.

I Love this pattern and the Cross-stitch and the way you explain it step by step. I was wondering if you could chain the amount of stitches for the width than work on the length or would it mess up the pattern?
@NinjaBunnyCrochet
@NinjaBunnyCrochet 16 күн бұрын
The direction of the stitch pattern would not look the same if it was worked width-wise vs. length-wise. However, I suggest working up a small sample width-wise to see if you like it before working the whole shawl in that direction.

@@NinjaBunnyCrochet Thank you for getting back to me. I did as you suggested and tried doing a small sample, I agree with you it didn't look right. I'll just have to do it length-wise. I just stink at chaining a long chain I have a hard time with my tension it seems to go all over the place. Lol
@NinjaBunnyCrochet
@NinjaBunnyCrochet 16 күн бұрын
@@beverlysmith1953 I totally understand that. Usually, my first couple of rows take a little longer because I am focused on keeping my tension even.

Posting links on a video for Temu would be difficult because their products change so often. This video was made over a year ago the exact products may or may not still be available on Temu.

My suggestion would be to work a starting chain of about 8. Work 2 sc in the 2nd chain from hook, work sc in next 5 stitches, 3 sc in the last stitch. Working in the free loops of the foundation chain work sc in the next 5 stitches, slip stitch to first sc made. Continue working in rounds, make sure to increase (2 sc in same stitch) on 2 or 3 stitches on either ends of the pieces to round the corners. Join at the end of the round with a slip stitch to first stitch made.

THANK YOU SO MUCH for going slowly! I have now redone my first beanie as I didn't cast off properly. While Addi's instructions are pretty good and I had watched several KZbin videos on how to do a beanie, the casting off confused me. Now after frogging the first beanie completely and trying a second time, I discovered that something wasn't right in the casting off AGAIN! So before frogging all over again, I found your channel and you showed that I only picked up one strand of yarn, not 2, plus I needed the hint of having the machine forward a few needles so that while I was cranking clockwise, I was working counter clockwise while casting off. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! Subscribed and if I could smash the like button a million times I would! 🥰💞💕♥🥰

🤔 could you do the same stitch with hdc? Would the multiple be different? I know the last row would be different…just trying to figure it out as newbie who prefers hdc over dc.
@NinjaBunnyCrochet

I would think you could do this stitch in hdc. Usually you ch 2 with hdc instead of ch 3 the multiple would be slightly different, however I have not worked it out.

The shell pattern used for hook pocket has a stitch count of 10+1. Make sure you also increase the base of the case equally.

Not that I am aware of. Knitting machines have a fixed number of stitches so it is not possible to make smaller or wider tubes.

To make a large hat move 1 hook size. So use a 5.5 mm hook for the brim ( and inner brim) and 6.0 mm for the hat

Nice tutorial. I like to put the first blanket stitch around the side edge of the towel and the next stitch I come through the same hole for the next stitch -I t makes it so the towel isn't sticking out on the edges like you have it. Just a personal preference but it does look nicer with the edge wrapped in my humble opinion. Like your button, too.

Video of Super Easy Mittens! by Just Vintage Crochet on KZbin charts how to crochet mittens in 6-sizes ranging from 1-2 years to adult woman. This pattern is genius. It can easily be modified by simply adding a chain or two or an extra row or change the hook size. Another great feature is it can be worked in one continuous strand of yarn from beginning to end leaving only 2-tails to weave in. Perfect! Thank you for sharing.🧶🤗
