I’m an older, 6’2 rider. Given the more comfortable upright riding position of the MT09, I’m leaning Yamaha. Cruise control and quick shifter are the icing on the cake.

All the way yamaha i would say...no reason to buy kawa

5'6 with that shoes? I think it's good enough especially when wearing a shoe with thicker foot pads.

It's honestly almost impossible to find one under 4k. Most are 4.5-6k. The used market is bad right now. I've seen 2018 400 with 17k miles and they want 5.5k for it

A Ninja 400 is faster, so you know the Ninja 500 is as well. This thing is boringly reliable. Thats about it. Cough up another $500 and get the Ninja 650, which is worlds better, and a bike you can keep long term.

Xsr700 is a good daily rider bike. The superbikes arent worth it. Combination of no comfort, higher insurance, and no race tracks around me, is a deal cutter. I like to shoot over into texas or up into colorado and those are like 3-12 hour rides each way..

Z has an oil filter, and slightly larger tank. Z parts are all the same which makes them more common. Grom changes every 2-3 years which makes some parts specific to that year. 5 speed gear box on the grom does give a better overdrive. Grom bars are taller which feels better IMO. Z looks better except for the under belly IMO. Grom resells better.

I wish the Z had a quickshifter and cruise control from factory. This would make it the perfect bike for sure!

I’m debating on the ZX14 anniversary edition but I’ve never ridden anything other than a liter bike. I’m use to hitting corners so this big bike would be an adjustment for sure but better on the freeway
