Bro you need to get those turbos replaced. Only getting 3 psi on 2 step or rolling anti lag is a sign your turbos are smoked.

Why did you decide to go with the CANTCU instead of running everything from the MaxxECU?

This car is N55 and there was no reason to go stand alone at this time. 6hp21 was failing, CanTCU is a great option for oem+ My personal car is Maxxecu with 8hp, which I prefer for higher performance builds!

Thank you for watching! 8HP45 is a nice upgrade to replace your failing 6hp21 or overall performance mod. While it doesn’t hold any more torque than the factory 6hp21, it’s a better shifting transmission, more reliable, takes less fluid and has 2 more gears!! I have purchased multiple for $300 or less each with converter, so it’s a great bang for buck transmission.

Can't you just run the direct injection and the port injection off the max ECU? I heard there's reliability issues when you go all port injection like engine's braking because they don't get the cooling that direct injection provide for them in the cylinder

Maxxecu doesn’t support DI. Also, early on people tried to block the holes for the injectors incorrectly and had leaks or burned seals. I am plugging the head with titanium bolts. N54’s have seen 900hp+ like that without issue on Maxxecu.

To explain further, the injector cooled itself down using fuel. Without fuel, the material used for injectors can get very hot. Using the right plugs / block off material and method is crucial and has largely been figured out as hundreds have gone pi only with Maxxecu. It’s truly superior for Motorsport oriented n54 vehicles.

I bought a 2018 35d two years ago, off lease, it had 80k and now has aprox 112km. It has the N57 engine, no mods or deletes on it. Drives like a charm. So much torque and power on this engine and btw the transmision is the same as on the ones with the gasoline V8 engine because it has so much torque. I did only oil and filter changes and the glow plugs just preventive as I heard if they are not replaced at around 120k, they may be hard to remove them. They came out without any issue, in very good shape actually.

Do you know if your SCR is hollowed out? And is this with the stock muffler? I have one that I picked up and am curious what it would sound like with stock muffler but tuned and "free flowing" DPF and SCR. (side note if your SCR is not cleared out, it could plug soon with the race DP.)

Thats not enough flow for that motor. You definitely should have done dual 4-in exhaust on it especially if you're going to up the boost on it at any point.

@straightsixracing Yeah, I have a 6HP21X with 200k miles and a 6HP28X in my X5 with 150K miles. Both shift beautifully. The important thing is to replace the oilpan with filter and fresh ZF Lifeguard 6 fluid, as well as the Mechatronic sleeves. Replace fluid every 50k miles and it will last forever

It’s possible to do 15inch rears and 17 fronts if you look up a tire circumference calculator and make sure your front and rear values are under a .8% difference

Yeah - haha I’m one of the earlier people to do 15” conversion on awd. 275/50r15 & 245/45r17 is within 1% diameter.

An EC tuned C450 puts out 480hp and 528lb/tq. No way the stock C43 is beating it. C450 drivers reaction time was just horrible.

Got one as well. Had to spend 7k on it, had to fix the def system, glow plugs, Harmonic balancer, transmission service, transfer case service, and front and rear differential. I'm not super excited for the timing chain service at 150k miles.

Seems expensive. Delete, tune, harmonic balancer upgrade, transmission service and fluids for tcase and diffs are not 7k unless you paid for labor

@straightsixracing ya paid labor for transmission and def repair. Tried fixing def my myself but got locked out. I'm new to BMW. Do you have any links to recommendations for tune and downpipes. If the def and egr keep giving me problems, it's out of here.
