My father-in-law served on the Whirlwind but the number was F187 in 1953.

Couldn’t have been Whirlwind D30 as she went down in the war 1940. Must have been the second Whirlwind.

misheard the name of the submarine. i have meant that one that was supposed to ship material for atomic bomb to japan in 1945

My Aunt was the proprietor of the Waterside Inn, after which she retired to Cleethorpes and had a shop in Northumberland Road, My dad called the White Swan the 'Mucky Duck' and I remember Burkitts Bakery vans were BRADFORD JOWETS
