The Israeli 4a1 mask. An excellent value for money for a CBRN mask compatible with drinking system and modern 40mm filters.

How long do the batteries last on continuous running? How difficult is it to replace the batteries? Thanks.
@iandeare1 Жыл бұрын
He mentions 4 to 6 hours continuous. My research indicates the filter is 'up to 12 hours' I'd guess somewhere in between, and possibly try and conserve power whenever possible. A little awkward to crack the battery lid open, the batteries themselves just drop into holders, they are the commonly available cr123a lithium battery. I suspect rechargeable li-ion substitutes will run shorter.

Hi , thanks for sharing. Do you know what filter numbers are compatible with these ?
@iandeare1 Жыл бұрын
A Part Number I cannot find, some date and manufacture info and similar in Hebrew (using auto translate) The lot I bought on eBay was listed as: "Israeli IDF NATO NBC 40mm Gas Mask Filter"

KYNG Israeli Style Rubber Respirator Mask / Face Mask Protection Halloween Mask (On eBay) It's the same exact mask but I don't appreciate them saying it's a "Halloween mask".. tgat makes it seem like it doesn't work. It's actually $29 about!
@compositebook78744 жыл бұрын
GaiSensei Neemo i would go for the original bc the Kyng version is a cheaper version of the 4a1
@xarv3682 жыл бұрын
Look for it as israeli 4a1 mask. KYNG masks are a crappy Chinese imitation of Israeli masks, stay away from that crap.

I have an Israeli civilian gas mask, that was bought in 2012, both it & its filter (the filter is marked as “ABL 05/86 over 002”) are still sealed in plastic & unused. I’ve read online that they have a shelf-life of 15-20 years. I was wondering if you know this to be true, & if my gas mask & its filter are still good & unexpired based on the fact of them being sealed in plastic & unused? Your help will be greatly appreciated, thank you.

The gas mask is forever useful. The filter is just about 8 years of shelf-life.

Will they work with the coronavirus 🦠?

Yes they will. Any 40mm nato filter will protect against covid 19 because all of them have a particulate filtration layer.

Mine is plastic, and sent from Israel direct, this metal container is old and outdated SURPLUS..this is not safe, buy NBC 40 MM, cheap pawn shop is not safe..buy direct from israel

@@jengraves884 they’re the exact same. thing your filter is most likely made by Supergum a sister company of Shalon that makes the original israeli type 80 filter. Plus importing from another country can be costly at times.

That’s a Shalon 4a1. You can get a Soviet GP-5 for like 10$ and an polish FP-5 filter for maybe 15$ and get much better protection. The GP-5 was the worlds most produced gas mask and about 100million of them were made by the Soviet Union.

It's a myth that fp-5 filters fit on GOST masks. Shalom 4a1 is better and safe.

Tho Paine As long the filter are sealed, stored in a cool and not exposed to sun, they will maintain their filtering capacity for very long time ( 15 minimum to 30 years or more) As the filtering is based on carbon which is the most stable element in the universe.
