Right on. Got a blue 09 and I am going to do my bulb today and wanted to have a look at where the mounting screws were while I'm sitting and drinking coffee. This is because I have a fairing on it and was hoping that I didn't have to take it off. Oh well, I'll have to. Anyways I am glad I clicked on your vid because without doing it yet, I can see that the little inside out rubber boot trick will spare me any wrastlin issues that might have come up with it. I am just going with a brighter halogen bulb. 50/75 Is stock if I remember correctly, I ordered a 60/100 as the stock one wasn't that bad. I've also got a 9in. led light bar mounted on the forks as high as I could get it, for out on county roads late at night riding to lakes and back. I'll make sure I'm up front if others are with me and flip the switch, that thing will cast a very nice beam in all directions ahead of me, or us. Much gracias. & L8er Ali-G8er

Thanks for checking out my video I know all of it was pretty self-explanatory but yeah I'm with you it's great to have a video that just shows you where things are before you dive into it. I don't even drive this particular bike anymore and I've moved on to an ST 1100 but I think one of these days I'll do a video on how to do oil change on that.

@@MymMars I have gotten away with never having to hire a mechanic on anything so far, and I buy cheap crap sometimes. Lol. KZbin is great to do a run through on anything from headlight bulbs to dropping transmissions on 4-wheel drives. I pulled a trans on my brother's truck recently and for whatever reason I watched a dozen videos, and thank god I did, because I came across a guy who figured out how to maneuver it out without removing the exhaust on a f150 both sides of a v-8. That would have been probably double the time. So you just never know. The ST1100? Is that like a late 90's Kawasaki versys? The all-faring bike with a great motor? Honda?
@MymMars
@MymMars 9 ай бұрын
@@Thesaurcery4U2C The ST1100 is very much like the Kawasaki concours but it was the cop bike overseas and was referred to as the pan European. I have a 99 with 24,000 mi on it. It's like riding a couch that'll do a buck 20 with room to spare. And I'm 6'4 and it fits me with a 3-in riser on the bars. And That's 600 mi a day comfort.

@@MymMars Nice. I almost bought a concours last year. I wasn't looking for a bike, but I still like looking at marketplace and checking them out. Lol. I have made a couple of purchases of dirt bikes this way. Anywho, it was super clean, and they were asking 2k, I have maybe seen them for that, but this one was very nice, and I almost pulled the trigger, but someone else came to the same conclusion that I did about the bike and it was gone by my lunch break. Before researching the bike, I really had no idea that they had sport bike motors with a milder tune in them. I have seen them around, but I guess I would consider the look "unassming" and didn't know that these things could run. I imagine that all 4 of the Japanese manufacturers made a version?
@MymMars
@MymMars 9 ай бұрын
@@Thesaurcery4U2C I don't know if all four of them made a version but The Hayabusa is technically a sport touring bike. The majority of the new ones Don't have as hive windshields but are definitely made with all the gizmos like cruise control and built-in handlebar warmers

I am pretty sure you have figured it out by now, but you can actually fsst travel to quest start locations. Clicking the combadge will give you options live drop mission or fast travel. I use mission fast travel to bounce around the galaxy in seconds, Bypassing the normal transwarp cooldown.

Definitely. I played a long time and and pick it back up a couple of years ago. The story has always been one of my favorites parts. The other being my ginormous body count. It was all self defense, I swear. Only half of them would count as space crimes, and they had it coming usually.

The D'deridex Warbird always was my favorite Star Trek ship design. If I ever were to play that game, that would be the ship I would want to have. I almost feel offended that a Constellation Class ship (That is the class of the Enterprise from the original series, right? I'm not that much of a Star Trek geek.) can defeat it. hehehe

Yeah the game kind of shoves you directly into things and then suddenly you're in a constitution class after you are in a Miranda prior to that and you're slugging it out with ships of the line

I used to play Neverwinter Online for a year or so when it still was new, which is made by the same developer and I heard all their games are basically the same. I'm curious to see how that typical MMORPG gameplay works with space ships. Thanks for sharing.
@MymMars
@MymMars Жыл бұрын
Yeah and cryptic has the unfortunate tendency to focus the game around very specific seasonal hubs that are brand new to the game and every time they create a new seasonal hub to release new content they have to write out more and more of the previous seasonal hubs. I personally wish you there there was a version of this game that was just a spaceship dungeon crawl where you didn't have to walk around
@TrangleC
@TrangleC Жыл бұрын
@@MymMars I see. I liked Neverwinter for a while and it felt to me they were doing a decent job of providing new end game content with those seasonal events and new dungeons and areas, but as I said, that was the first year of the game's existence. I don't know how it developed since. The reason I stopped was just that it got too grindy and too repetitive for me, even with all the new content. It just felt like running in a hamster wheel. Running the same dungeons with my guild every evening to farm for better gear so I can then run the same dungeons more effectively. Have you ever tried Elite Dangerous? It isn't a dungeon crawler, but you basically can play it in a similar way like a dungeon crawler, just by hunting dangerous aliens and stuff like that. Then again, I think they were about to introduce the ability to walk around shortly after I quit that game, so I don't know how "walky" the game is now.

@@TrangleC I have played a ton of elite dangerous and I think I have a solo kill on a Cyclops somewhere in my KZbin channel. I run dual VKBs while I play with the z left controller. I'm just waiting until I upgrade graphics cards to get back into it because the ground combat and the ground stuff is not very well optimized

I think I've read on a form that the Vulcan 900s are known for having stator issues, and what's funny is mine does as well as it won't keep a charge you can jump start it run it for 2 hours straight turn it off to get gas and it'll be dead. Headlight flashing with the engine running the whole thing. I wouldn't necessarily call mine a show bike at this point but I'm either only going to write it for special occasions locally or sell it to somebody's willing to do the work

So I guess I never really explained what was truly wrong with this thing. Everything from the Delta ring was on its last thread to the gas block was canted off and the gas Port was undersized. The bolt in this picture is actually over traveling to make lockup. And it was still working getting about half the gas it should have been getting and over traveling to a chamber that was more or less being hung out and kept still by carbon because the Delta ring was holding the barrel on by its last thread. I think this kind of proves that an AR-15 is pretty reliable.

let me know how it does, my past experience working on cars made me leery of the led front. the lenses not being designed for the spray of light coming out of leds circa 3 years ago made them dimmer on the road but brighter when viewed. witht he cyclops im worried about not having as much light to work with as possible. also i like riding around at 3-4am, the drunks are off the road as well as the oblivious college kid traffic.

@@MymMars - LED upgrade was very easy. Everything went smooth, with the exception that the rubber internal boot that usually covers the connector would not fit over the LED back, as it's much bigger. Not a big deal I guess. Rubber boot is now in the trash (had at least a couple tears in it anyway). LED is VERY bright at night and casts a surprisingly wide light beam. I mean it lights up my lane, the lane to my left, and the lane to the right. Really like that wide light exposure.
