When I met my wife, she was a Southern Baptist from the Philippines. American missionaries brainwashed her grandparents in the 1950s. I showed her this video, and the "needs money" part hit her like a ton of bricks, because all the preachers in the Philippines REALLY beg for money, even moreso than in the U.S. My wife is now a Strong Atheist like me. We can't "save" them all, but we can enlighten the open-minded. 😊

No. We believe what scientific facts prove to be true, are sceptical of things that science hasn't (or can't) proven, and do not believe things that are proven to be wrong. It's just a result of average or above intellect, really.

@@twsx That's 'knowing' not believing. Religions are especially using the word "believing". If everything were proven then why bother with heaven, hell or judgement day? Everyone would go to the heaven 😀. There are verses about non believers, it's already known that some people won't believe and George Carlin were one of them, that's all.

All one needs to know about God is that he considers abandoning the religion FAR worse than mistreating a fellow believer to the point they no longer want to be a part of the religion.
