That oil change price is wild! And you should never have them replace the filters, 90% of cars both the oil filter and air filter is fairly easily accessible and the replacement is as simple as plugging in your phone charger. You just have to go to auto zone or any car part store and ask them what filter your car needs and they will help you find it. Doing that with an oil change is 2-3 times more expensive then doing it yourself. Just a tip, I didn't know this for a long time myself either.

I highly suggest no longer using credit cards. A majority of people are NOT credit card people and there’s no shame in recognizing that. The rewards are not worth the stress and fees you end up paying. There’s a debit card you can use that acts more like a credit card but still only allows you to use the money you have available in your bank account. For the life of me, I cannot think of the name of it. Caleb Hammer on KZbin has mentioned them in the past. I highly recommend the earlier episodes of his show as well as Financial Peace University by Dave Ramsey to get financially literate. Down the road, if you want to revisit credit cards when you have a handle on your finances, that’s a possibility. Make sure you have a 3 month emergency fund either way! Being debt free, besides a mortgage, is an AMAZING feeling so don’t give up!

A huge part of your credit score is credit utilization, so if you lower your credit limit, your credit utilization goes up and significantly hinders your credit score. If you’re trying to pay off debt and build credit, I would recommend a credit builder card. Good luck!! 🎉🎉
