Wait I just noticed the "ORE NO UTA O KIKE!" Reference from Baasara in M7. Also, the smoke colors resemble to Walküre colors too so they kinda referenced this on Delta!

Coming from a Gundam background, when I first learned about Macross and its pop idol elements I was...skeptical. But after taking the plunge and watching this series, I can honestly say I love it, mostly because of how committed it is to its gimmick - yes, it is a gimmick, but that's not a bad thing (the word has just lost its true meaning by being used as an insult). So here's to you Ranka and Cheryl - you two won me over. PS - But Kaname Buccaneer is best girl...

Same, i thought Macross was so fucking weird first time i encountered it, but I gave it a chance for the idols (in middle school) and still get chills thinking about it. I just love weird shows with lots of soul.

damn, just forgot i just watched that awesome anime. i never watched something like that as genre. i was always like meeh, nah mecha things are not mine. but damn, i was so wrong. guess i know what im watching again the next days haha
