Do the rails have to be removed to install this pocket cover? And are there specific type screw for these pockets? A place where I play pool has the wrong screws in the pockets and when the balls go into the pocket, they are getting " chipped" from having the wrong screws.( where can these pockets be found)

The video stops at 9:03. What guidelines do you use to ensure your chains are not over or under tighten so they don't clip the front/rear pin deflector

Having the Setting Table dropped down and slam into the stroke limiter is something that gives me a flashback everytime. I remember at my childhood center I was Bowling on Lane 13 and there's a guy repairing on Lane 15 and these are GS-92's by the way. I was watching him repairing that Lane as I'm Bowling and I'm scared if he'll drop the Table and he did, I got jumpscared by that bang noise.

That roll pin they designed for that pulley does not fit the stock Brunswick part, very smart of you to just use a nut and bolt told hold it on

Hi tmiller453 I have been watching all your videos and it helps me alot on issues Im getting on my work as Tech in our GS-X. The issue Im always having is.. When the table sets down to drop the pins it stops when the pin holders gets about 45deg. position and everything stops. When this issue happens turn off all switches and follow all safety proto call and crawl down and push back the pin holder to vertical position, and turn back on and it cames back working fine again.*** But Im not really sure if Im doing it right . And I cant find the culprit why is it doing the same issue after several days. Can you help.? Tenx...

Aside from this, I recommend you modify your ball returns by drilling a hole (one for each Lane) on the frame (not the main plastic cover part) or next to the ball return exit hole and added a push button and wired it up to the Electronic system so you can have a Set Button function and the Bowlers can push the button to recover the last pin setup without calling a mechanic. This is sometimes common in poor countries or here in Southeast Asia where GS Pinsetters were poorly maintained and the mechanics can't handle the spotting tong problems anymore.

Thank god for this video. Our four year old had shoved a bunch of non pool balls down the pockets and everything got jammed up. I was so happy when I found this. We thought we were going to have to hire a professional. We had it fixed in about 10 minutes! Thank you so much!

Question would you let your pinsetter run with a broken tooth on the chain gear Or would you replace?
@tmiller453
@tmiller453 2 жыл бұрын
I would switch out the gear. If one tooth breaks the others have to work harder and it is already showing it is prone to failure. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. I hate to hear someone was working on the pinsetter and the gear completely failed and someone or something got smashed or pinched. Good luck with your repairs.

Do you have any advice on setting up the tongs There seems to need fine adjustment, but no adjustment It is driving me crazy
@tmiller453
@tmiller453 2 жыл бұрын
I have a video on setting the tongs on the table. But if your tongs are dropping pins you can soak and clean the vinyl inserts in a 5 gallon bucket of hot hot water and some lane cleaner chemical that your lane oiler uses. Be sure to rinse them with hot water as well. Dry them and lay them flat/straight or reinstall them. If you let them sit in a pile they will cool and set in a mis-shaped way, which makes them not stay installed and fall out. I usually let them cool if I have time with the locking tabs interlocked into each other while they cool. That way the tabs are spread outward which helps keep the clips engaged with the tongs. Also when you get wear and the part that holds the pin neck starts to slip because of part surface reduction, I usually cut strips of electrical tape and put it on the side opposite the wear. Just enough to make up for the wear.
