I have been listening to Paul Baloche with my brothers in my childhood. Now they have been gone. But I came back to these musics. Hope one day I will be able to praise God with my brothers again. 🙏

Rick Rob here. You are most sincere, thank you! I went to a conference you held in Jackson MS years ago, that changed my view of leading worship, helped me understand how to write songs for the congregation. Because of your influence I had the pleasure of leading workship at the same church for the last 7 years. You have encouraged me in every way with your DVDs and Books and for years offered FREE Sheet Music on your site. Thank you, Thank you Thank you for saying yes to the LORD OF HEAVEN, JESUS CHRIST, my Savior!

The verse in the description text should be 1 Chronicles 25:7 for "All the musicians were trained and skilled in music for The Lord". Great stuff!

I would like to challenge you and every other worship band that strives for excellence in their worship. Yes, we should practise and be trained and be skilled. I'm not suggesting we should just have a crack and see what happens. There is nothing that can break a worship service apart more than mistakes. But excellence? This is not Biblical. The word excellence is only used in the Bible ever in relation to God himself. Outside of this, it is never even mentioned. we are not called to be excellent. we are a broken people in need of a saviour. The Bible is full of stories of how God used broken and damaged people to do HIS Will. It didn't require the skill, talent and EXCELLENCE of people to accomplish his Will. He required the hearts of willing and faithful servants. This is too common in modern worship. And it's wrong.

In my current "normal" band I've skipped practice 2 times in 6 years, both related to serious illness . I don't deal with low commitment well. I know I carry a lot of weight for the band and would like get a little help, but at the end of the day when it's time to play, all that hard work pays off. I don't have a family and children, so no one suffers or gives me a hard time, but that would be the case otherwise.... Every member of a band should find a place where they contribute something the others can't, so everyone is helping building the ship. FWIW. In my martial arts training showing up injured to watch classes was encouraged, it keeps you in the loop and it boosts morale for the whole group.

Wonderful - thank you for sharing. I am singing “Praise Adonai” at a worship revival night this weekend & was reminded that you wrote it! Then I looked up Don Moen & found a video of you singing with him which made me think to look up your KZbin channel & then I found this video. So awesome. I am being pulled to make leading worship a bigger focus. Thankful for your life and music.
