How cool! The .2 is such a great vehicle, is yours pdk or manual? I’m still trying to come up with some cool ideas, but work has gotten pretty busy lately and is difficult to make videos. But stay tuned because I will be making more!

Very interesting! I’ve had a hard time telling the difference in the throttle mapping, but then again I haven’t done any really hard driving on it yet. And I did not know about the rev limiter! So cool! Thank you!

I own a 981 Cayman, the sports button gives shaper throttle response and changes the ecu for a more urgent engine mapping but certainly not too sensitive like in a BMW Z4 e86 that was ultra sensitive it ruins the ride unless you are absolutely going bunkers! The difference is progressive and well measured, the exhaust gets louder with overruns. I have owned all generation of Cayman before settling with the 981 series. Enjoy your ownership and be proactive in preventative maintenance for the 987.1 and 2 series to reduce cost in the long run. 🇬🇧

Yep, but with this one’s low mileage, and keeping up with maintenance and driving it how it should be driven, I think she’ll do just fine 😅 hopefully lol

Yes! It’s such a cool car! I’m a Mercedes tech, so I have my own lift I can use when I do maintenance, makes it so much easier!

Hello! So on this car the camera was always recording, it was plugged into the 12v socket on the left hand side of the passanger compartment and ran up below the glove box and ran up the passanger A piller. Great little camera. I am recording a new video on my 2006 Cayman S soon and have a similer camera setup in that vehicle as well, I will highlight it in the video for you. Hope this helps!

Well, the long term update isn’t what you’d expect 😅 my beloved boxster was crashed into earlier in the year. If you’d like to see other reviews I’ve done, go to the star motor cars preowned KZbin channel

The Boxster overall was a fantastic car and I can’t recommend one more, I drove it to almost 100k miles before it was in it accident. Even in the accident it truly saved my life and took it like a badass. That car is one hell of a machine and there are many more in my future.

I will be recording a video soon on my new car and it will be like a long term update!

15k in this market seems a little to good to be true, I would recommend checking them out though because you never know. If you do see a boxster that you think is nice go have it checked out by either a Porsche dealer or a trusted mechanic. Porsche will be more expensive but you can bet that thye know what to look for and will probably save you money in the long run. The Toyota would probably be a safer bet and that’s probably what I would go for because of gas and you won’t have to constantly be worrying about it, but it doesn’t hurt to go check out the boxsters. I love my car and it has been great and I have had no huge issues just the regular stuff like the oil ail separator. I have a trusted mechanic who does services and I haven’t had it serviced by Porsche and I do most things in reason my self like breaks, oil changes and simple things like that.

So from what I have researched only 6% of cars have the failure and most of the failures are on cars that sit and are not driven. So far only the typical mechanical problems like the Air Oil Separator and I replaced the breaks and break pads.

Lol! We bought this car for an awesome price back before the car market went crazy. Don't get me wrong this is a super awesome and amazing car for some one as young as I am, but I don't think this vehicle is as expensive as you would think.

Hey that's a great idea! Mechanically it has been amazing and when I have had to do stuff its easy to work on small things, and relatively inexpensive. These cars are amazing to drive and are super fun.

I am fully aware. This car did not have the optional speaker package so 4 speakers is all it came with. Even without the upgrade the sound system in the car is amazing.

Only a few repairs like the oil air separator and a few minor things. There were 2 owners before me

This car is fitted with the tiptrionic gearbox, not the PDK but I would have preferred a manual.

The pdk was introduced in 2009 this car is a 2006 model

This car has an after market radio in it but when I first got the car it did not have the touch screen. Also on some later 987 Boxster base and 987 Boxster s cars had the oem screen radio

I recommend check the stage of use on ims I know for sure between 65k to 90k miles breaks and bye motor have to remplace and it's expensive it's just an advice

@@abcplumbing5883 We change the oil every 5 thousand miles and always check for signs of medal or plastic. Most IMS fails happen on low miles cars and only really happens to 6% of cars.
