Watch out for filthy queensland cops who are now watching boat ramps and handing out tickets for no seat belt while pulling trailer up ramp.However they will never give someone any assistance.

Why don’t you use a salt away or salt attack product ? Good vid

At 4.10 safety chain connected to the same shackle as the winch strap. That gives a single point of failure for both. Better to connect the chain directly to the eye on the boat.

That the way most of us do it. But how do you clean the stinking fish gut, blood, slime and salt out of the floor carpet?

All very good if there isn't a lot of vehicles waiting to launch.

Sadly all the damage is done to boats /trailers while they’re fermenting at the ramp after being launched all day.

Thing I need to practice most before my first launch is just reversing with a trailer. I don't mind if I look inexperienced when I'm at the ramp, as long as I don't look completely useless 🤣

I have a Yamaha f150 and the owners manual recommends a different method of flushing the engine and no need for the muffs. There is a little hose on the left side at the bottom of the cowling you unscrew it and attach the hose to it. No need to start the engine.

Same, I have the F75.... However, unless you are flushing it immediately after you get off the water, I'd suggest still doing this method to ensure that the thermostat is open and you're flushing the pump internals too... Not just the pipework.

As we get a little bit older and not so nimble , not keen on having to walk out on the trailer and climb up onto the bow of the boat. Especially if it is wet with dew or has been raining. Can be very slippery. Much prefer to hold the bow line and push the boat off the trailer and then walk it over to the jetty. If you have a boat that does not slide easily off the trailer , I find a slight touch of the brakes as the trailer enters the water will usually free it up enough to push it off. ( with the bow line from the boat tied to winch post on the trailer as a precaution ) That's how I launch my boat anyway.

hi, about to purchase my first boat and launching it is a real fear factor for me, great channel by the way . question is how slippery are these ramps normally and do I need to upgrade to a 4wd to launch a boat? I'm concerned of not getting traction and sliding into the drink. its probably a stupid question..
@fruszn3 жыл бұрын
not an expert, but the slipperiness of the ramps depend on the weather and tide; if it's a low tide or rainy it's probably going to be slippery but if it's a high tide and dry weather you should be fine. upgrading to a 4wd vehicle depends on the size of your vessel. A fwd van hasnt given me any problems on the ramp, but the boat is only ~1800lbs. I wouldn't be scared of launching your boat. If you've watched some videos or practiced with someone else who owns a boat, you should be okay. dont let the fear of launching prevent you from trying! you will not slide into the ramp if you use your parking brake and emergency brake correctly. I cannot recall a time i've ever seen a vehicle slide into the water with the emergency brake engaged.

As long as your vehicle isn't too light compared to the boat.

Also depends where you launch, I've never found anywhere too slippery, I launch in bare feet or thongs

This is just superb, I been tryin to find out about "how can i get a copy of a boat registration?" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Ever heard of - Siyichael Mysterious Smasher - (should be on google have a look )? It is a good exclusive guide for discovering how to get a cheap boat title report minus the hard work. Ive heard some interesting things about it and my cousin got excellent results with it.
