What a lovely chat with a lovely bloke. My Dad was a Liberator Captain RAF 354 Squadron in India after going to Canada from Australia via the EFTS.. It's so strange to think now how random life and death was for those who survived training. Fighters or bombers? Bomber Command or SEAC or Coastal Command etc. Those poor buggers who drew Bomber Command, wow it could have been my Dad. Some entries in Stewart's log book familiar to me from Dad's as he flew his B24 from England to India. 354 Squadron is known as the "forgotten Squadron" because it was not recognised or acknowledged for a long time. It was truly a Commonwealth Squadron with British, Canadian and Australian crews. Thanks for posting.

Bloody hell! Central Park looking just as it did when I were there last time in 79/80. Played for U13's in 1979 against Hull and won 28-0. Amazing footage this. Nice on

This gave me chills , it was over ten yr before I was born, but I’m from Wigan and always been a lifelong fan. My late dad idolised b Boston. The ground looked the same until it was knocked down apart from that Douglas stand, which is basically non existent at the time of this video. I only ever knew the ground with that stand, the kop and the popular stand is then the same as it was in the 90s. The buildings in the background, as I say chills , ❤

I was probably in the Boys Pen. Great memories. Ashton and Boston - a pairing made in heaven.
