Having spent 3 years researching the Trojan war, I'd say this isn't a bad summary of what the conventional opinions are. Too bad it ignores the Hittite texts, which tell a rather different story. The main problem with the studies of the Trojan war is that they assume Troy was sacked as a result of it, which there is no evidence for at all, and they fail to account for the way the story was being reinterpreted in the Greek world at the time the Iliad was composed. Using all data available from every source, what emerges is that the Trojan began around 1430 BC and ended in 1280 BC, during the reign of King Alaksandu of Troy. The story of the sack was added about 500 years later. The first possible hints are in Hesiod. BTW: The bit about the Trojan horse is mythological nonsense relating to a very old myth that Odysseus had a magical horse that could fly; later this morphed in the Trojan horse ruse when the idea of a magical horse was no longer popular, sometime (perhaps as much as a century) after the Iliad. See Malcolm Davies monograph on this. Like the sack of Troy, people keep trying to explain it historical terms because they are mislead by the common narrative. So better than some videos on the Trojan war, but could be better.
