Your baker glaze looks like folk art guild white. Folk art can be more white but more likely will look like your baker. Recipe is on Glazy and in John Britt’s book. Very nice.

Glad I found you. I’m just starting to play with commercial glazes. I’ve always been a dipper so this is new. I have just gone back to using mid cal 5 so your results are really helpful. Jane on Barry Ave in Lefroy

I have a manual kiln as well. My gauges are low med and high. Any suggestions as to do a cone 6 foring. Do i start low or med for ? Long then to high ? How long. My bisque did great. Looking of pointers. There's not a lot of info on manual kilns. Thank you. I really enjoy your pieces.
@andreanolan600428 күн бұрын
Hi Laurie, Can you put on low with peep hole vents open? If so, I suggest you hold for an hour of each of these: low with vents open, low with vents closed, medium, then high. Maybe keep on medium for a little longer 1.5 hrs to ensure you heat slowly. Once its on high, it should stay on for about 3 hours and click off. Thank you for watching.

I have been teaching hand building to all ages - 4 -75+ yrs. "Hands in Clay" is one of my favorite things to do. I am always looking for something new for my students. This is perfect! Thank you SO much for sharing your skills and ideas. Your videos are a joy. I love the kiln openings. To me, opening my kiln after a firing is almost like Christmas! Thank you, again!

Hi Audrey, We did grind it off sufficiently. I just might have to keep that one ;-). Thank you, egg separators might be a good bet for Christmas shoppers.

I am interested in your "cookies. " Do you make them? They are much thinner than others I've seen.
@andreanolan60042 ай бұрын
Hi Cee Jay Kay ! thanks. When I make a piece on a bat on the wheel, I take it off with a wire. The thin piece that is left on the bat, I keep as a cookie. I just take if off with a putty knife and dry the piece with weight to dry. I'll showed you a the process in my next opening.
