For a small tent, something less than 1.5m / 4ft tall it's okay and the spark arrestor will be okay, for a large tent that is upwards of 2m / 6ft in height it may not be tall enough on its own.

The large Tipi (Teepee) is the Firehiking Large 4- 8 person model, it is 5m/16ft in diameter at the base and about 2.4m/8ft tall. It would comfortably fit two adults (four would be too snug IMO). a.co/d/h7Q7c1U

It would heat a 100sq ft shed that's relatively well sealed from the outside even if uninsulated. The biggest issue I'd say though is that you need to let it warm up the space and then when you're done, there's a cool down phase. A diesel heater (aka: parking heater) might be a better bet because it's more or less on and off. For the amount of time you'd be using it too, diesel might be more cost effective than wood. At night I was using a Vevor 8kw (that's just marking btw - really 4kw equiv) diesel heater (since I didn't want to have to Stoke the fire) and it was really warm even on the lowest settings. So keep that in mind. If you're going to spend 6hrs or more in the shed, then the wood stove is the way to go with a modified stove pipe to maximize heat transfer before the smoke is released outside.

As long as it is from the official company website you should be fine. The boxes are sealed well and there’s nothing to really break if shipping is rough. It’s basically a steel box with 4 legs and 3.5’ chimney pipe stuffed inside. The poker and ash scraper are in the box.

These are on sale right now, Sunday Dec. 10-2023 at my local Princess Auto in BC Canada @ half price until Dec. 17-2023. 99.99. regular price is 199.99 Dandy little stove for my 12x20 shop, I was using a diesel heater that’s inexpensive to run but i have unlimited supply of wood and this should work out better with a little fan to move air a bit.

I purchased stainless steel 3.5” pipe from Winnerwell on Amazon. I’ve put the original chimney/stove pipe aside and use the new stainless steel pipe. The stainless steel is lighter, fits together snugly and they also sell 45 degree pieces which I purchased. At the base of the stove, I left the original collar on with one piece of original stove pipe. I then put one piece of the Winnerwell pipe on top and I drilled and tapped a hole that I put a 1/4-20 bolt through which holds everything securely.

They don’t form a very solid seal either. For a more permanent setup a longer section of 3.5” stove pipe would be better. I suppose the idea is that it’s a very temporary setup and in that time creosote shouldn’t form.

Because it's hard to live out there. The nearest Walmart is 84 miles away. Most of the people who moved there did so during y2k and built a bunch of bomb shelters and all left after 2000 came. If you have a medical emergency you have to be airlifted anywhere, if you have to call the sherriff for help because someone is trying to bust into your home and kill you he'll just tell you to handle it yourself and they'll clean up the mess afterwards. There is an ordinance requiring everyone own a gun out there. Even if you called the police they won't be able to come help you because they could be hours away.
