I did film this one and the main hotel ones which were completely locked off since this place is now apartments. Luckily a resident who lived here was nice enough to give me a ride all the way to 18. They were definitely cool despite the GAL Jetplus mod

I rode the Vermonter from Greenfield to Essex Junction two days after you filmed this - the fan that captured the video of the train at Greenfield was also setting up to record our train as we were waiting at the station (he posted the video of our train as well)! While up in Essex Junction, I was attending a concert and on the way to the concert and upon arrival at the concert site we went through possibly the worst torrential rain I have ever witnessed....all I was thinking was "PLEASE DO NOT WASH THE TRACKS OUT!!!"- I didn't want to have to take a bus home! Our train home was the same consist you captured here (execpt we had P42 113 leading) because I remember riding coach 82999, the car right before the cafe car in this video. 82999 is one of the distinctive coaches that is a conversion from a former cafe car. You usually can distinguish these cars from others because most retain the "food service car" signs adjacent to their side doors right above the window lines.

2 years ago I had 111 leading the Vermonter that I rode up to Essex Junction. She looked a bit rough back then but it looks as if a few more battle scars were added to the front of 111 in the last two years! It seems like units 100-125 tend to rotate around the various New England trains from what I observe. And like your experience the Conductors were very professional, helpful, and personable with the passengers - especially on the way up!

At last check, there were two OTIS Tractions and one Schindler 400A MRL unit that was added on. One of the OTIS units was a gated model at the time of filming; however, it was turned off.

The usage of both an actual EAS unit and the cable box's onboard EAS relay thing resulted in the message being played twice at first

The actual EAS unit only broadcasts to one channel, which is used for the DTA's which we do not have. Yet, the cable boxes and DTA's allow us to tune to that channel.

Yes. In the video the radio was set to "CHANNEL 1" which is 162.400. WXL39 transmits on 162.400

Funny enough Today I took GO Transit in Toronto and the train I was on used one of the oldest locomotives in their fleet of trains I then got off the train and then within the span of 5 minutes 3 more GO trains passed. One of them used the same Locomotives as the Train I rode on. It was then followed by a VIA Rail (the amtrak of Canada) didn't expect to see this many trains in the span of 1/2 hour

@@calm8685 Yes actually Ive been on an Amtrak from Union Station in Toronto to somewhere in the US, they're a pretty good service, better than GO Transit in My opinion
