i always wonder if the losing side reason for loss is bad defense or a blunder or is it that morphy plays so "perfect" the defense has no choice BUT to make blunders move after move ?, this game was before the american civil war, i have seen games earlier than 1800s replayed digitally , what i would like to see is Benjamin Franklin playing French emperor game or games as he traveled to france to ask for french military aid during 1770s revolutionary war , im curious about Benjamins win or loss, but i read banjamin lost on purpose to gain french aid

It‘s so nice to hear so many different accents. Your accent is awesome man. I’ve lost my accent as I learned english at a very young age, but I wish I had still my accent. It’s like losing a part of yourself or your character. Anyway thanks and pls keep these videos up!

I have a maybe dumb question as a beginner. Isn‘t in the last case playing Rook to c1 checking the King again better?
@historicalchessvideos8017
@historicalchessvideos8017 4 күн бұрын
Yes but I think we can move the king away up the board, he is going to run out of checks when we reach on f3 I guess, even if he plays tricky Rf1 check we have Kg3, and we now threat RxRe8 pinning and winning the queen. And it was not a dumb question at all, thank you very much for watching, take care.

Forking the Queen at the end with check on the King. Meanwhile me as an amateur: Just take the Queen with the Knight. Meanwhile Capablanca: Oh you silly foolish boy mate in 80 moves. Meanwhile Charles Jaffe: What sorcery is this? what an unbelievable genious of a chess machine!

I believe in the final position the white is winning a piece by force. Start by Qg4+, the king has to move to the h-file, then Qa4 which is a double attack on the bishop and the rook. The only way to defend both pieces is Nc7, but it still doesn't work because Qh4+ is next, and since the black knight is gone from the kingside, the checkmate is coming in two more moves.
