Is the MIDI out on this thing designed to go only to MIDI controlled pedals or could it go to say, a rack mounted effects switcher like a Voodoo Labs GCX?

The Trapper gated fuzz is a useless pile of cr@p. I have this pedal and the only way you can get anything useful out of it is compressor -> boost -> The Trapper. It’s the worst Fuzz imaginable.

Orange amps were great when built in their original factories , the modern Orange are not like the past years ....too bad . I think that Vox has preserved a better quality even if they are made in Vietnam ,during the 80's i owned the AC 30, made in U.K.in 1971 ,fantastic , but as years went by ,i gave it away for his weight ( 33 kilograms) ,i had to carry it on the stairs ,and it was an effort each time. Now i have a modern Vox Mv 50 with 2 BC 108 cabinets , very light , and the sound quality gives me satisfaction. Regards , Patrick from Italy

How the bass mini Beatles would sound with a guitar? I have an Eastwood tenorbaritone, and the string " C" has huge deep sound , therefore i don't know the best choice would be . Did you ever try this amp with a guitar ? Thanx for your kind reply, Patrick from Italy

I love love love GG and his playing and teaching and humor and everything, his charvel collab is so amazing and thought out…except wish he had a warmer smoother chewier chonkier guitar tone, like a Tom Quayle or 90’s Anastasio or Eric Johnson or holdsworth tone, GG is just a little fizzy, maybe it’s lost in translation bc I’ve never caught him live, feel the same about max ostro who I love, his tone is a little fizzy with the smooth base tone there. Just projecting my taste onto what I love.

Hello! I’m going to buy one of these units now and I was wondering if the “Shot of Theta” and “Shot Of Dry” as well as all the original presets like “Van Dirty” and “Wasted Chorus” are in both the red units? The non Michael Sweet units? Does this MSX have all the original presets of the red units? Sorry if my questions are confusing.
@MTaylor-jo9nh7 ай бұрын
I guess a simpler question would be do the original red units have the presets that are in this video?
@ericpalkovich3 ай бұрын
@@MTaylor-jo9nh Hey! Sorry for the late response. Some of the red presets aren't in the MSX. The MSX does have all the presets the yellow has, however.

Thanks man! I appreciate it. I actually bought this unit not to long after I asked those questions. I love it! I’ve got 3 high gain sounds now that have evolved over the last few months and all I can say is that this processor rips! It makes everything so easy to play and feels so good under the fingers. None of the reviews have really even scratched the surface. I’m so glad I purchased it. It’s so inspiring to play! I’m working on dialing in some lower gain stuff now. I’m using the “Back in Black” and “4x10 Delight “ presets as a starting place with a Tone Zone humbucker full on and split coil. Now if I only had more time :)

My dilemma before buying it: does the faster speed repetition than acoustic grand pianos make it more difficult to play advanced classical music (especially with difficult fast passages) on acoustic grand pianos, if you practice mainly on the Casio GP 510?
@davesisk4542 Жыл бұрын
Unfortunately, this wasn't a very good demo. The demonstrator should have dialed in the OD signal only on the mix knob so we could hear what the OD sounds like by itself...it's actually pretty good, you just couldn't tell with it blended with the acoustic tone. This is useful if you want to do something like loop an acoustic riff and solo over it with an electric tone.

Buddy, I've been using my helix on a mackie thump active box. I have never used an frfr case and the opportunity arose to pick up a laney lfr112. Does it make a big difference in sound quality? Worth to buy?
@brucedickinson8993 Жыл бұрын
Normal amps put "color" on sound. FRFR is FLAT, so you can use the cab simulations on your helix. Imagine: You use IR or cab simulation of an orange on your Helix, but you are using a real marshall cab, it's like mathematic: Marshall + Orange = wtf. So, FRFR is "NEUTRAL", NEUTRAL + Orange = ORange.

This may be a silly question but with this model, if I use the Di out to front of house. Will I still have sound on stage from the speaker to use as a monitor or does it just take the sound exclusively to the Di out. Thanks in advance and apologies if that's a silly question. Cheers
