Would you say that it not having gears and only pedal assist levels is a draw back or is the pedal assist/throttle power strong enough to make gears obsolete?

Excellent to finally meet the speedy Pete Hodson, and his distinctive bumble-bee helmet. I raced an old air-cooled RD250 against him and Steve Trasler - on their Suzuki X7s - many times at Bemsee meetings (Brands and Snetterton) in the late 70's (just pre-LCs). Those guys were way faster than I ever was. Saw Steve progress to a TZ250 but never knew what became of Pete - who usually won those epic 250 Production battles with Steve.

The exhaust sounds pretty nice, did he just have the muffler chopped or is it something else?

She sounds like hell... The feeling you have on a bike is... freedom to the heart if I may describe it😅. Due to laws putting modified exhaust here is expensively punished. I miss how my cg125 sounds and responds😢... stock exhaust are not the same

Sorry, nice bikes but this clip is kinda waste of time. Why bother looking at a tattood dude all the time while good close-ups of the bikes are not to be found. Pretty missed opportunity Flat-Out!

Has anyone replaced the engine with a real one? Like a V8. Just imagine it with the twin turbo 4.4 V8 from the M5 CS??

Hehehe, Good choice to go to that biker-spot. All those old geezers in full leather made it look very young, fresh & uncomplicated. But all joking aside - it did bring up a good point: It's not a lot of money compared to a real motorcycle + plus you don't have to pay the government & insurance company, fuel is cheaper and there are fewer parts than can brake, so you could get a taste of that freedom way earlier in life :)

Whats up bro, i was thinking about getting a BMW i8 its a great looking car but ive been hearing from friends that the maintenance on the car is not greatest. It always ends up being in the shop. So what are your thoughts and opinions & would you recommend one

@@Wealthyking17 - Yes, big time! I had mine wrapped in Satin Black so mine is all blacked out. I have a short video of it on my YT channel. It grabs as much attention if not more than pretty much all of my previous cars (Viper, Maserati, Range Rover SC, Saleen, Corvette C7 Z06, etc. etc.). The i8 isn’t the fastest car I’ve owned but it’s not as slow as most think either, the motors in sport mode provide instant torque and all wheel drive so it just goes…. Super happy. 👍

It does come with a key and has Anti-theft tracking. You can also install a small tire-lock for shopping-stops and get a chain for longer storage.

I own one , omg what a bike, absolutely flies along , I fitted a suspension seat post with a brooks saddle (game changer) removed the mud guards as they are useless and rattle , brooks handle bar grips to match the seat . Best bike by far Iv ever owned, if you feather the throttle it will give you 40 miles on a full charge, or 30 mile range if you go flat out everywhere, 6 hours recharge time , with a traffic light 🚦 indicator battery life reader . Everyone everywhere comments on its looks . I promise you if you buy one you will love it , it’s basically a moped it’s that good

I feel such a sense of nostalgia when I look at a 70s Honda because I grew up in the 70s and my first real motorcycle was a Honda 185 TwinStar I loved that little bike and I wrote it all over the state of Florida on my learner's permit. I rode the bike into the Honda shop because it was acting funny and when they tore the top-end off both of the Piston fell into and the Rings were holding them together. If they hadn't seen me ride the bike into the shop they would have bet there would not have been enough compression to even start it. That shows you the quality of a Honda motorcycle.

How’s this handle as a first bike you reckon? I will be using it on the road obviously, but would like to explore a bit like you have in this video eventually, but planning on getting a bike for commute and general day to day use, as traffic is ridiculous here in the summer, and a bike would be practical and fun. Thought one of these looks like an ideal little bike for running about. Any of you experienced riders have any opinions on this as a first bike? Newly qualified with a CBT? Cheers guys.

As an owner of a 1972 cb 175 I can agree about the bond and necessary pre ride preparation to make sure it's safe as in loose hardware or even about the oil level or tire pressure. Mine is all café racer inspired build so I especially have to do bolt check beforehand. They become like a problematic teen you just love for their rebellious ways. Screamers for sure when tuned properly with jets and pod filters and exhaust. Working on getting an electronic ignition to get away from points. Love the video.

3:40 and this is when I realized why I like my ranger so much. Used and abused for the last 20 years might give me absolute hell one week and the next be the most reliable vehicle in the lot besides my newer mustang They have a personality you grow to like. I see my ranger as a old fucker that still acts young. Having fun but the signs of age are showing and the end is near. My ol ranger is knocking real bad but he’s done everything Iv asked of it. I’ll rebuild it better he definitely deserves a lot more cylinders

Nice work, good wee waves - I'm sure you kept the best hidden! As a surfer, who mainly surfs within a 20 mile radius, but have surfed in the 3 great oceans, I think surfers should limit their worthy proclamations on energy efficiency et al. Surfing (or the Surfing Industrial Complex as it's called) is almost completely dependent on fossil fuels, promotes excessive travel (don't get me started on local impacts..) and is deeply, deeply embedded in the wasteful consumerist game. I'm not seeing that changing anytime soon. At least not voluntarily.
