What was the diagnosis? I've got a 2015 with no issues. Adjusted the air/fuel mixture screw just slightly and bike runs strong with minimal backfire. Hope you got yours straightened out!

My carb had a hole in the bowl from old ass gas I guess mine has 3796 miles on it

Man if you don’t have the key just get the 4 numbers off the front of the ignition and put them numbers on eBay, I got a key for my 69 ct1 for 6 bucks. An original Yamaha key

Hey man I just got a 05 savage. And mine has a air filter cone. My question to you is, what did u do with those extra hoses? I believe there is 2 or 3.?

How did you get the airbox out? And what size cone did you use? I'm working on my S40 and doing something very similar to what you are doing. I want to do the same thing with the battery too.

The cone filter is a 42mm . The air box had I think 4 main bolts, including a hex wrench bolt that is down on the frame by the bottom left of the battery. I'd have to go back and look at it a bit closer. Hope that helps!
