Reminds me of a high school band I adjudicated a couple of years ago. Except they sounded closer to Yes than this.

So lacks the Yes energy & pace is off. I wonder what Steve thinks of Jon's new album, TRUE? It's a masterpiece with The Band Geeks.

True is the Yes masterpiece we’ve been starving for.

Know Jon Anderson - Know Yes No Jon Anderson - no Yes

Ugh. The wannabe Jon Anderson is one thing. But I'm looking at the bass player and it totally looks like Steve Howe hired a bass player that "kinda, sorta not really" looks like it could be Chris Squire from a distance. I grow increasingly annoyed at the existence of YES without Jon. THOUGH, I love Jon and the Band Geeks.

Sherwood was ASKED by Chris to take over. Billy Sherwood and Chris were close friends and recorded several albums together. Billy was also in YES previously as 2nd guitarist in the 90s.

Davison is not a wannabe anything. Steve did not 'hire' Billy. Geez...do some fucking research before you open your piehole.
@stuartjack40952 ай бұрын
I have to disagree with the initial post. In my mind Billy is probably the nearest thing to classic yes, Steve is doing his best and the others….could have been scooped up from a decent pub band.
@privatemale21472 ай бұрын
@@jpirard I know about Billy. I did not know that Chris asked him to takeover. I was just commenting on the optics. I see no reason why Jon could not have been back in the band. And I think what Steve Howe did was a total dick move. If Chris was part of that decision, shame on him too, because Jon was part the initial success and the second (and best selling) success of YES with their biggest album. Jon's new band is leaving Howe and Company in the dust. YES hasn't put out anything worthy in a very long time. Howe's shows are now stale in comparison.

Perhaps. But as far as I'm concerned the spirit of YES is now within Jon Anderson and the Band Geeks. A completely different energy that is much better than this.
