Not a single comment in 9 yrs!!! I’ll just say that I love this version. He must have played it on a Martin and I love the extra slapping Stefan does on the bass!!❤

Wow, I think this would’ve bumped GrooGrux up to my favorite DMB album. This is so much better than the version we got on Walk Around the Moon.

Such a great song. And it was initially written about the greed and hustle and loneliness after the man got their cut. Would love to hear them rip out these old lyrics one day

Reflecting on those days in the Shenandoah Valley, whether by the river at Zollman's or at Trax in Charlottesville, it felt like being in an incubator of musical wonder. The road-trip itself felt almost like a spiritual journey, surrounded by loveable rogues, creating cherished memories. I'm grateful to have been at the right place and time in my life, especially during my final term at Washington and Lee. It was like living in a utopia, and Dave Matthews' band played an immense role in making it all so special. Huxley's words rang true, but there was something even more unique about Dave. His presence, vibe, intensity, and skill were extraordinary, making him a true artist. He seemed to live in the moment, not caring about the future, embracing each performance with everything he needed. Those moments were truly magical, and I'll forever cherish the impact he had on my musical journey. 39:17

I had a Demo from someone who knew someone back in late '93? I lost it in a move! It took me 4yrs to "remember that guy with the good band's name." Crazy.
