I've owned and used this saw for several years now and it's been thrown in and out of my truck on job sites on and she's still working great, but your adjustments have helped tremendously thank you.

Thanks. I have the same dryer and was able to replace the belt thanks to you. The video doesn’t mention it but there are two screws in the top of the dryer door that have to be taken out before the top panel can come off.

I got mine with 4 packs of three blades each for only 35 bucks at a flea market. Probably one of the best flea market items I've ever bought.

Did anyone notice the inches measurement side isn’t by the 1/4”? There’s ten lines between hole numbers. I bought one and I watched this to adjust mine. WTH? So what’s 3/4” & how did he calibrate it at 3/4”? That would land between two lines. I’d use a true 1” thick piece of lumber.

Thank you so much for the information. I have a 2011 Honda Fit Sport and I needed to replace a transmission fluid pressure sensor/switch B circuit low. P0847. What you showed on the video was completely correct and covered. My question to you would that updated sensor also fit on the 2011 model?

Best video on this planer I've seen. Wished I'd have watched it before trying to set mine up, but will certainly go back and take care of some things I missed. Even not set up perfectly, this planer seems to be doing what I need it to do.

Here's a hint if you cannot get the tension arm far enough to get the belt on the motor. I took some long cable ties and pulled the tension arm way down and tied it to the metal exhaust tube. I made sure the belt was around the motor pulley and that it was centered on the tension pully. I put a piece of long duct tape onto the cable tie so I could pull it out when I was done. I cut the cable tie with some snippers, arm popped into place. Pulled out cut piece of cable tie. Done! Working dryer. I have a little different model and really didn't have room to get both arms in there.

Was looking for how to adjust bevel and found this. Very nice. However, in my case, I find that to get the blade set to 90 degrees, I have to push it so far that the motor assembly hits the table and actually has to deform it a bit to get to a perfect 90. "That ain't right" . . . I did buy it used, for what I though was a fair price. Not so sure now. Looking for hints before tearing into things too far.

You don't have to take off the back part. There is an easier way to do it. Just do the front.

I guess my question is why when you pay this much for a miter saw why should I should I have to cut the slot in the throat plate? Is there any advantage to me cutting the slot over the manufacturer suppling a precut throat plate? I purchased this same saw two weeks ago and it came with a factory cut throat plate. Seems to me this is a cost saving to Ridgid rather than a advantage to the precision of the miter saw.

You Forget to put back the washer or gasket like the one you find on the oil drain plug but smaller. You can use the old one on the part you just replaced

it's tricky but the instruction says to loosen the cover bolt so that the blade cover can slide back enough and the bolt can clear. this is why the single tool provided is all is needed. i did exactly what you did, i got a wrench and the blade cover was in the way and i was getting pretty frustrated until i re-read the instructions 2 more times
