nice climbing dude im climbing around v7 -v8 been climbing now for 7 months keep smashing at the moves youre stuck at on that pink one id probably go left foot for the first move then the part youre stuck at maybe cross over and take the crimp left handed

For the white 8 you should try getting your left foot up against the volume or maybe even on the small chip you used for the press over, if your flexible enough that might work to get you in a more stable position to reach up for the next volume.
@thatdudefrazorАй бұрын
I've tried that before, but because it's so high and the overhang starts there, it just throws you out of the wall and there's no stable way for me to move. Maybe I'll figure smth out soon, but still thank you for the advice!

10:00 I'm at a point where I don't even want to try boulders that use those shallow pyramid volumes. End of the day I just don't find them fun. One of the setters must be on a crazy trip atm because there's a few too many climbs utilizing them. Should find out who. Crack down on this nonsense.
@thatdudefrazorАй бұрын
I definitely get the frustration. I don't think they're bad in general, but using them excessively just wears them out so much and makes them slippery as hell, which makes a climb harder and more annoying than I needs to be.

do u think climbing alone is enough to improve ur strength or do u think campus and hangboard are needed
@thatdudefrazor3 ай бұрын
I think, especially for beginners and most intermediate climbers, just climbing is enough to get better. I'm now at a point where I feel that I'm missing certain strengths and I think then hangboards and campus are a great option to get better at these specific skills.

I am just getting into climbing and did my first indoor yesterday so I have lots of questions. The one I have here is, how do those grips on the rocks form? Are they natural or have people made them over time to climb with? Great content btw😊
@thatdudefrazor4 ай бұрын
Cool to hear that you just started, I hope you'll enjoy it! I'm happy to answer any questions 😊 These boulders are all naturally formed. In New Zealand, most rock formation can be traced back to either volcanic activity, tectonic drift, or (like in this case) glacier melting/water erosion. What still can happen is with more popular climbs that the holds and feet get worn out through the use (which funnily means less grip), but if you leave them alone for a while, the natural water erosion will roughen them up again. I hope that answers your question.
@CloudCoderChap4 ай бұрын
@@thatdudefrazorThanks dude for taking the time to explain how these are formed. Much appreciated. I will reach out if I get any questions on my journey into climbing. Subbed.
