Hey! Great video. I’m currently using synergy , was thinking to pay for its subscription, though I’m aware about barrier but never tried. Does it work seamlessly like synergy ? Or what you would suggest, to purchase the synergy license. ? As KVM switch doesn’t do this at the same time. 😊

I love your vids. Excuse me but, how old are you? you look like underaged. But the informations you gave me always so useful... I'm confused lol.. Is it rude to ask your age? If so, don't reply. I'm Korean, so I don't know much about language etiquette in other countries.

My Linux install (Ubuntu 24) the Barrier server keeps saying "Barrier is starting" but never starts. Same when I use it as a Client. The other computer is a Win11 PC. Barrier install on Windows side works fine.
@MINDtek1Ай бұрын
I had the same issue. I’ll let you know if I can find a workaround
@m1cajahАй бұрын
@@MINDtek1I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled on both sides now. Both now start, but it like they won’t keep a connection. I keep seeing “client connected” then immediately “client disconnected”. VPN is off on both.

do you know how to control 2 cursors on 2 pc with 1 mouse?
@Skukkix23Ай бұрын
the camera on you and it's frame is moving way too much. Don't overdo editing just to make it more unwatchable. Move it only if really necessary. Keep it on one side. Preferably the side that makes you look into the frame. Keep zooms to a minimum and leave images with important data longer visible. Spotting information is not done via zooming in on it but with highlighting the important area and then leaving it on for a few seconds. Important is also that the last position of focus of the viewer on one part of the screen needs to be taken into account when editing. Putting information left up, then bottom, then right up in a 2 sec span is just confusing. Remember you try to communicate, not speedrun.

I appreciate your feedback. I’ve found a balance that I feel comfortable with, but I’m always adjusting my style.

Barrier is outdated and not maintained. I would recommed using input_leap a fork of barrier instead
@MINDtek1Ай бұрын
I’ll look into that, thanks!
@thebloxxer22Ай бұрын
I use Barrier as I have limited desk space and 2 computers (A Windows 11 gaming rig and a development/utility Ubuntu rig). I also have 2 monitors, so I just use 1:1 Computer to Monitor ratio for the V in KVM. Pretty happy with it.
@Grimreaper34819Ай бұрын
Ty for the video however if possible please warn of the light theme as i was watching this late as hell and was blinded, other then that nice video and i will sub for more of whatever you do.
@MINDtek1Ай бұрын
That’s a good idea that I’ll implement into future videos. Unfortunately barrier is only light theme
