So 400 keyboard will work straight out of the box?
@ChrisEdwardsRestoration11 сағат бұрын
Pi400 is what it was built on

How do you remove the box to clean it out?
@peterboon8280Күн бұрын
Nothing new, just a new PCB. My problem is that the original had flaws. Especially with the IDE. So this could be a Colecovision, an Atari 2600 or a Television for anyone cares. All it is is populating a board with no improvements to the design and playing the same old games.

I love my A3000, but would love also having one of these souped up with a ZZ9000.

No a real cpu 68040 ?
@ChrisEdwardsRestorationКүн бұрын
Can be a real 060 or use the z turn’s built in 040 at 150 mhz. It also gives 128mb cpu ram and 256 z3 fast

Saw a current bid for this device at $5. Honestly, I might go for it. Need something to archive my files at home.

wow 5$ really ???
@blissfulzane7154Күн бұрын
@@ChrisEdwardsRestoration Yep. The bidding ends in 7 days but if I see it still low when it comes to a close, I'm grabbing it! Yeah it's old tech, the speeds are decent but for personal use and that cheap, might as well try. :]

Hey Chris, is it possible to output this to an old CRT monitor?
@ChrisEdwardsRestorationКүн бұрын
Yeah you will first have to boot it in hdmi and set it to be a shit resolution the vga can support. Then use some kind of converter to output it to analog vga. Dont know how the sound will fair might have to use a usb dac

@@ChrisEdwardsRestoration I think the Pi itself has the ability to use composite out via the 3.5 mm jack with Retropie, figure there might be an analogous setting. If anything I might just put Pimiga 4 on my Core 2 Duo XP retro machine on a separate hard drive. Looks like a blast my dude, cannot wait.

Hi Chris. I noticed in your video that your file size (after unzipping) was 103GB, yet the unzipped img file I downloaded from you link was 68.8GB, is that correct? Also, will I need to run any partitioning software on the "intel" side? Keep up the good work buddy, much love from the UK

Its a standalone image. Packed sizes are always smaller than the image size unpacked

I did this conversion on my Rev 5 in the early 90s. I don't remember why but I have a little plastic slip on one of the pins in the upper row on the 8372A. I suppose that wasn't needed then?

"Why not jumper to PAL", because the PALjumper expects a PAL crystal, making all the chipset timings (including the clock) slightly off. If you change the jumper you need to change the crystal too.
@ChrisEdwardsRestoration3 күн бұрын
my other 4000's are pal Crystals, however you can boot it on PAL jumper with a ntsc crystal. it will work but for stability yes change the crystal also

Hello Chris, love your videos and also your kind of humor. I learned a lot from you and also it is very entertaining, every week like a ritual, waiting for videos from you. Today I had a messy Super Nintendo, caps spilled everywhere, she is wet 😂. And your caps cutter technique works perfectly, I love it. Beste regards from the German retro dude Marinus
