Yes - domestic paper shell pecans -- not so good on hard shelled small native pecans that are mainly in Texas.

A couple of hours for Raw -- only about 1/2 hour for roasted. This a slow process that gains more nutrients than faster methods.

It can do most pine nuts - if they are about 3/4 inch long. It can't do the tiny ones that are 1/2 inch long.

You need to wash every thing by hand in the sink, NOT a dishwasher. Just scrape all the nut butter off of the bowl, stones and scrapers and wash as normal with a little dishwashing liquid and water.

I mean, leaving a bit of oil in the pulp means the pulp is still pretty nutritional too. Best of both worlds really. Well, 3 worlds if you count the 'butter' lol! Only thing I might buy other than this is a hand crank in case of grid down situations... Having both options would be nice.

I need something that will crack hickory nuts.Their shell is much harder than the nuts you just cracked in the video.I would like to see how it performs on them.If it will crack hickory nuts,it will crack any nut.Im just wondering if it would just jam or wear out the machine entirely?
