Thank you for this episode seriously. Big ups to Marcos not only giving his insight but he gives examples and how he process and counter situations. Should have him again. Also an episode, if possible to talk about ATS resumes, Scrum, how to get noticed on different platforms or tips on people breaking into tech industry. Ex. Construction worker breaking into tech industry with transferable skills. Keep it up and new sub here

Great summary of the different types of partnerships. I work as a partner manager for a SaaS company focusing mainly on referral & reseller programs. Although we have many great partners already, I am "struggling" more with the ways to enable them and really scale the partnerships... Any advice/suggestion would be much appreciated ;)

What I've found helpful is nurturing the relationship with your partners/partnership managers and continuously reminding them with incentives and giving them easy to use material to promoting your SaaS company. Give them reason and make them excited to want to do more with you.

With the revenue based financing you have to already have a business that’s generating revenue. I reached out to the one of the company’s on the site you recommended and that’s what they told me. Any way to acquire this funding without having an existing revenue generating company already?
@SaaSDistrict3 жыл бұрын
Generally when we're talking about acquisitions we're buying SaaS business with revenue. Not sure why you're thinking of buying a company that doesn't have revenues. Are you looking to raise a round for a product that's pre-revenue?
@marcuspeck73023 жыл бұрын
@@SaaSDistrict no this would be a company that already has revenue. However, the company I am referring to said they do not provide acquisition funding. I would have to already own a company and then be able to acquire another one based off my current company’s revenue. Does that make sense?
@SaaSDistrict3 жыл бұрын
@@marcuspeck7302 are you referring to founderpath? Last I checked they were funding acquisitions. What is the size of this business? There's always other options as well depending on the size
@marcuspeck73023 жыл бұрын
@@SaaSDistrict it was a company on founder path called lighter capital I think. Under the revenue based options. Is there a way I can email you directly?

Thanks for this nice video. I have two questions for you. Firstly, why is there a minimum limit for investing in a rolling fund? Wouldn't be nicer if anyone could be able to invest only with 1$? Secondly, you said that in every quarter investors can get out of the fund, but what happens if the fund had funded all(100%) of its equity?
@SaaSDistrict3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching Emre. 1) The minimum is usually set because theres a limit of 1999 investors into a rolling fund so $1 as a minimum wouldn't be worth the investor relations and all the paperwork for 2) It depends on how you structure it - generally you can't decrease if there's a minimum subscription - would check this: help.venture.angel.co/hc/en-us/articles/360047694752-Can-LPs-increase-decrease-or-cancel-their-subscription-to-a-Rolling-Fund-

The course is too expensive vs the likes of Breaking into Wall Street, Wall Street Prep etc. Also, there is no example of how a report is structured and presented with key findings to executives.
@pierre-alexandreheurtebize31143 жыл бұрын
Hello JD, thanks heaps for the feedback. The Financial Due Diligence course material does include an example of how a report is structured + extra materials from other firms, however I do agree that doing one additional video specifically dedicated to the subject will add value so thanks for suggesting it. Regarding the price of the course, if you look at the amount of content it includes (currently 60 videos of 5 to 15 min) + written text + full excel model + powerpoint support + extra material to go further in your learning, I believe that the price of the course can easily compare to the BIWS premium of BiWS that you make reference to, priced at $791 for 15 modules. Also we collected feedback from our early students who confirmed that the content was well worth the price. And if you'd like to make up your own mind, we have a 48h cash back guarantee if you're not satisfied. That being said, we understand the price of the full P&L course may be expensive for some student, that is what we've broken down the course in several sections that student can sign up to individually. It starts at $50 for the Part that presents an overview of Financial Due Diligence process and structure. You can access them all here : fddcourse.horizencapital.com/courses Kind regards
@jd57873 жыл бұрын
@@pierre-alexandreheurtebize3114 thanks for the feedback. The content looks good and it is smart to break up the course in bite sizes. I hope the course is successful and helps many to find their footing in the industry. I do not know the profile of the people who provided feedback but have they bought courses such as BIWS or others before? (I did, multiple times) have they purchased the course itself? Were they related parties? etc A lot of input can skew a product positioning and pricing. I happen to refer to BIWS from time to time for specific things that trip me up on occasions and it is basically what an analyst would learn in the first few years in banking across various departments (M&A, LBO etc) so it is pretty exhaustive. I sincerely hope the course finds a broad audience as the more people are educated financially, the better! Keep well.
